Because BTC futures contracts are expiring soon and Chinese and other Asian new year will end in the month of February so people might start buying again. Once FOMO kicks in it'll be a pump month for Crypto investors.

not really called a dump season but more of logical. Dumping will take place mostly during the new years as people want to shop for stuff or get presents. after march, it will start to pump back
