Which Blockchain is Good for Micro Payments Project?

Hi,

I am thinking on a project that involves many transactions between users so I need to create a token on a blockchain with fast (under 1 minute) and cheap transactions.

A year ago ETH was the best choice because of the Ether (ETH) ERC20 tokens. The 15-20 sec block time is great but the average transaction cost of 2 USD is not acceptable.

The thing is that I need a custom token that will represent an asset that worth less than 2 usd so a transaction should not cost more than few cents ideally.

Any advice is welcome.
