Hey guys, I am a brand new crypto-girl, and I'm thinking about investing in ICO's. The thing is, I shop online a lot and I really need a tool which will allow me to pay with a crypto currency. I came across Bitcoinus ICO, they're creating a cryptopayment processor for online shopping. Exactly what I need. Planning to use it. Any ideas?

Investing in ICOs is risky business. I saw an interview with John Mcafee, he said that over 80 percent of ICOs are scams or will end up being worthless.  Their is potential for high reward but I prefer investing in proven coins.

So listen here mate, this kind of investment is a risky but worthy if you chose the right one. There like a thousand of ICO runing right now and more coming but maybe just hundred of them who really valuable.
My advice is :
1. Do a research first about the project you want to invest. They legit or not, the project is real not just dream project where it cant be done.
2. After that see the company background, make sure there is a company runing this ICO. Im prefer allready run company than the new build company.
3. Check the dev who working is really developer, not just stolen image from google, check their twitter or linkedin page.
4. Never invest to ICO that runing lending platfor, just dont. It obviously a scam.
5. Dont FOMO so much, never believe like 50% or 100% "bonus" presale. Also kind of any refferal bonuses

Before you investing your money in it, make sure you checked everything just to be sure..

Like, do they have a whitepaper? what about their roadmap? have you checked their team as well? what's the total supply? how much tokens the team reserve? are there any similar projects out there?

You should check everything as much as you can just to be sure, because investing your money in an ICO is really risky! For sure you don't want to lose your hard-earned money just like that.

But if you are confident with it, then goodluck!! I hope it will turn out good for you.

based on experience, every ICO project sometimes has different payment methods. so even if there is a way that you say, I think it would be safer if we follow the steps given by dev. in investing in the ICO so far from the error that occurred.
Good Luck !!

If you are new, I think you have to do more research as investing in ICO's are risky too. Be sure to research about the coin you are about to invest with as there are scams proliferating too. Start by reading their white paer,  checking thier website,  people behind the project and so forth. Read also thir review from  other sites or sources.

yes exactly what you say and I know the news.
In my opinion, ICO is very potential to be used as investment land. because it can give many advantages even up to 100x. therefore, if we are going to invest in ICO, I think we should be able to study the project from the technology that is carried to the truth of the team that works. so we will avoid the scam.

ICO are one of the very risky investment here in crypto market so even if you find the project interesting and useful for you it will not guarantee success of the project as well as good return on investment. I would suggest that you make your own study about the project and analyze if it has a higher chance of success also try to look on peoples feedback if they find it interesting like the way you see it.

Funny John McAfee would say something like this considering he is an advisor for some ICO projects with more to follow.  He also does his coin of the week tweets that use to be coin of the day.  If anything, he should be trying to convince people that all cryptocurrencies will be around forever so he can get paid doing his thing.

It's true,  Absolutely making an investment in ICO is very risky for business.  There were so many scam projects or unworthy project.  But for me ico is very promising to change your life be better and give more opportunities and  many advantages or profits.  So if you want start to making investment,  you should learn the project first.  First thing you should do is look the roadmap of that ICO,  and second you have to searching for what's field that your ICO worked,  and last you should look the private sale of this ICO, if the private sale fastly sold out usually this project will bring us a bright future and no scam!!
Dont forget to make a group chat with your friends to sharing about ICO,  if you interested you can join in my group.

Sounds a little bit interesting for me, but since you are a new user in the crypto and you may never see this project. It has a work product, and I should share this with you. https://support.tenx.tech/hc/en-us/categories/115000106611-Getting-Started
You can spend your crypto(PAY token) anywhere and everywhere as long as the store accept visa payment. I hope this gonna help you a lot. But if there is a working product and why do we need to get other that still under the development progress?
So you can tell me your opinion about that.

Thank you so much guys for your answers, I'll take everything that you've said to the account. I've checked all the things that you've mentioned and it looks credible to me. I looked them up on this website https://www.tokendesk.io/ico/bitcoinus/  Also, I have read their whitepaper, and I really like it as well. Do you guys know any other tools I could use to check them?

Investing in ICO is very risky and very profitable at the same time. You need to make your own research about project (team, partners, concept etc.) and have a strategy for each project, because it makes sence to hold some projects for a long term, and others you'd better sell after listing on exchanges (maybe it's useless, but hyped project)

You should make a very good research about team and project itself before considering investing in it. But there is also possibility of taking part in bounties, that can bring you tokens of projects you're interested in, without putting money on the table

Investing in ICO may make a good profit for you, but remember :ICO is a big risk, no one can be responsible for your money, you can only be responsible for yourself.
In trying to invest in a new ICO project, I think you should know whether the team of the ICO project has a bad record, which is the most important. A good team is the key to success.

Do not invest in anything yet, by your own admission you are brand new to crypto, it is natural to be excited about the possibility of making money by investing in icos but it is one of the riskiest markets in the entire world, use your time to learn, do not invest in the first coin that you see, it may seem like easy money but it is not, people have won and lost fortunes by investing in icos, do not be one of the losers just because you invested before you could judge if a project was good or bad.

Its all up to you if you invest or not. As what they said, investing on ICOs is very risky because almost 80% of existing ICO's are not promising and many of them are scammers. But the promising ICOs will give you a great profits. If you want to invest, you should do spend more time on research.

Investments are indeed risky, however the risk can be reduced if enough research is conducted. It is hard to look for legitimate ICOs but there are key points to consider. First, read their whitepaper. There are certain details written there that may look untrue or unrealistic, or their goals and platform may seem a little off. Veteran ICO investors know how to distingush real ICOs from not. Although it takes a lot of experience, you will get there. Aside from checking the whitepaper, I also consider the campaign manager. If you are not yet that great in detecting fake or unpromising ICOs through whitepapers, campaign managers are the easiest hint. Known managers handle bounty campaigns that are legitimate. Last thing is you can check the credibility of the ICO through sites like icorating, icobench etc. Yes, investments are really risky but there is no investment that isn't.
