I suggest that the requirement of merit shouldbe think twice because it may lead to many questions.
for example:
1. what if the members have merits never give it to new members?
as a jr member, i worried about this the most. the rank is now connect closely to the airdrop and bounty. thus the less people participating, the more profit. so this may happen that some jr member will never or very hardly to get merits even if their topic is valuable. i am afraid that some new member will never have chance to be a full member or even a member.
2. if a new member can not get merits, what will happen?
of course they will want to buy. however, as i said above, the rank is linked with profit, so there will be few people want to sell, or the price will be high. finally, the new policy bring a new market. maybe the requirement for merit could limit some accout farming. however, for those who has sr or legend or hero account, the farming will not be impacted. instead, their alt will be more valuable.
if you have any idea for these problems, welcome discussing
if you have caught up with new problem, please list them.
currently, i think this policy is quite unfriendly to new members, paricularly those who want to contribute to a better community but doesn't have a friend with high level account. the new policy bring huge risks. and i think it should be necessary to find a way to solve these problem and to make people willing to give out their merits fairly.
1) This is just your assumption. There are members with sendable merits who are always ready to help this community to grow. They will not act selfish. Also, there are merit sources.
2) Buying will get noticed sooner or later. For instance, you make a post of 3 lines which is not at all related to the thread and then buy merit for it. It will be noticed by a moderator and you may get banned.
