If you rank up to maximum you still want to be able to help others rank up. Makes sense, right?

Yes this makes sense but if you look at the stats for the Legendary members they are giving out most of there merits to other legendary and Hero members, how is that helping the community, it's just the rich feeding the rich and leaving us poor souls to starve.
It's like politicians voting to give themselves a pay rise.

What else do you expect from them? Blindly giving out smerits to someone who has joined the forum a week or day ago ?
Dude you don't own those smerits it's their so let them do what they want with it rather than complaining about it.
Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Yes, that is exactly what they should be doing to encouraging new members to contribute to the community, so what you are saying is that a newbie who makes a great post that contributes to the community should be denied any merits because they are just a newbie ?

You perfectly right, very few chances to get Merits... It's a way to ban entry to bounty campaigns to new ones and have less competitions !

Right on man Smiley It's definitely a way to keep the prols in there place, if they think that a newbie is going to rise up the ranks (using this new system) on his or her own merit then they are living in some sort of fantasy world. Like I said before the merit points are just being distributed among those who do not really need them, it's just a way to boost there own inflated egos.
