That would be nice to get rid of these junk threads put all the giveaway threads in one place.

Yeah, or just a "free BTC/altcoins" board.

It would be nice to get rid of them annoying off topic threads. But, I would ignore the giveaway board as it normally involves a lot of scams.

This has been suggested a lot of times and has always been ignored.

The signature campaign posters adding useless redundant fluff to their posts to reach their minimum word count are lowering my IQ.

Could you give examples of which junk threads you are talking about?

It would make a lot of sense to insta-ban anyone offering a giveaway. None of these things are kosher.

Why would you want to ban people for generously giving stuff away? Maybe an example would help here ...

You should know by now there is no generosity without hindsight on these boards. "Giveaways" have thus far primarily been used to spread pump-and-dump scamcoins, to acquire address lists of easily duped fools to mark them as viable targets for later scams or to establish false trust to get people to install trojans.

Don't get me wrong there are a lot of 'Legit' giveaways, but they normally don't involve "5 BTC free" and stuff like that. They re normally small amounts. Would anyone give away $600 worth away for just free? That's why I normally tend to avoid these types of threads.

Some giveaway threads are ok but most are a pita. So let's stuff them all in an altcoin subboard. Maybe also a board for launches.

Section rules + a sticky would stop that. A giveaway board would let people give away items/services instead of putting them in Marketplace.
