Despite the negative forecasts that seem to prevail in many so-called "specialists" or "experts", I am convinced that bitcoin is better positioned than ever to resume its bullish trend sooner than many imagine, because I think its prestigious team of developers  are making considerable efforts to implement the necessary improvements to make it competitive and flexible again. The great advantage that gives it its enormous popularity worldwide will always be an encouragement for people to remain interested in bitcoin and that is why I believe in the bright future of bitcoin, which only this year will allow it to reach $40,000 without any problem.

That's not easy to say about the price in 2018 of Bitcoin. My assumption it will more than $30000 in 2018.

 My prediction of bitcoin price in the year 2018 is for the value to be at $20,000 but not less than 18,000 and the end of the year.

How high? Um.. I don't know, last year people predicted $3,000 and we saw $20,000.
So let's say we predict $20,000 ; we may go till 30,000. At least that's my random assumption /speculation or whatever. But these opinions or assumptions doesn't matter, cause demand and supply forces are the ones that really make a difference. Think about it.

I think that bitcoin price cannot be predicted. I think this is a characteristic of bitcoin which makes it fascinating and appealing to many persons. In my prediction I see that the price by year end can reach easily the 50.000 dollars and why not even 100.000 dollars. Yes this is going to happen soon, because in the last year we all have seen bitcoins were not welcomed in such a fantastic manner. But just see the price rates at the end of year that was astonishing. They were jumping like frogs and crossing so many thousands within a day. Bitcoin's spike also represented the revolution's next phase. Less prescient investors, fearing they'd miss the opportunity of a lifetime, had jumped into the currency.Expectations are high for 2018.

bitcoin is always surprising, we never know what will happen next. in my prediction in this year bitcoin will not increase significantly, may be $ 20K is possible value but I not sure if bitcoin will reach more than 20k.

I have to agree with this. There's been too much bad press and FUD spread so far and it's halted the train so to speak. I'd gladly accept a period now of slow, sustainable growth for a year or so whilst the world continues to catch up with the positives of cryptocurrencies.

for me, I consider this year (2018) is the year of sales correction, I don't expect too much pump/growth at this year, and also I don't want to stock in just one top leading crypto currency that cant gives/create/generate a good profits. so asides of holding bitcoin, while waiting for the another year of success, I am rolling my finger tips into some other coins/tokens that can grow in moment, because bitcoin price wont hike like what we saw before at this year.
