Ari Paul, chief investment officer at BlockTower Capital, predicts Bitcoin will trade at $ 4,000 or $ 30,000 this year. Many analysts say the price of Bitcoin will rise further, believing that investors will continue to bet on the possibility of higher prices after the split. At each split point, Bitcoin investors will receive the corresponding amount of new split currency.

That's not a prediction, its a speculation based on analysis. Prediction means having just one variable answer. Anyway, no one can predict what would the price would go, everybody have predicted and expecting that the start of 2018 BTC will hit 20K instead it had rolled back to 9K.

Predicting that the price will either rise or fall isn't much of a prediction. It's so tiring to have these guys who paint themselves as knowing what they're talking about but really they just say the most common sense things. I don't know what split (I think you mean fork) you are talking about but they have traditionally pushed the price up and after the split the price has fallen. Bitcoin's price is low right now and instead of saying it may go up or down I'm going to be bold and tell you that the price in a years time will be higher than today's price and therefore you should invest.

Bitcoin cant move always in one direction. There has to be a correction and a dip along the way. Those who are in forex or commodity trading knows that how these trading world works.
There are a lot of factors for the current price hovering near 10K to 11K. It may even go further down to 8K depending upon the outcome of CME Futures contract expiring tomorrow.   (Details here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2821818.msg28902763#msg28902763)

That's just predictions and anyone can say the same thing. If it is easy to predict the evolution of the market, then who would have predicted a price boom by the end of 2017. Who had predicted exactly that; one,ten or one hundred people. I think we should not be too believe in the predictions, the market is affected by a lot of factors.

yes, we are must many invest in bitcoin, maybe this is a sad day for baghodler, but on the other hand this is an opportunity for those who want to invest, I think if today many people are investing in bitcoin, then when  bitcoin price become high, they will become whales.
although slowly, I'm sure bitcoin will return high and to the moon.

I too think that the crypto currency world will benefit from large investments this year alone. Hopefully we will have another 2017. Smiley

The reason why they seem so dumb when they make those comments is because they are that dumb, they think they are the kings of the world and that people will listen to them just because they are that wonderful, but that is incorrect, they are not any better than psychics, he is both predicting that bitcoin will go up and down so when one of those options happens he can say that his prediction was correct.

I would like to see that but that is just speculation. Price of cryptocurrencies will grow but how much we will see. It's beginning of 2018 I would like to see a price of Bitcoin at 30k USD at the end of 2018 also I expect some average price of Bitcoin around 10k -15k USD until end of the year.
We can just wait and observe what next will appear in cryptocurrencies world.
