Lost wallets, lost passwords, lost mobiles, scams, and truly truly truly bad customer service (crypto services are crummy rubbish at caring for customers - it's something to behold - they're lucky they're not all fined and jailed - some people actually believe they're anonymous! Cheesy)...

Global consumers cannot handle cryptos. End of! Fact! Own it! Make your money and run back to FIAT.

If people here on BCT are struggling to hold onto their crypto, then what about the consumer at home who is not as computer literate as the people here?

Paper wallets, hardware wallets... Is this what this industry is offering as some form of security for the whole world... seriously??? That is the joke of the 21st century!

Crypto will only move forward once we have crypto banks. A place where people have assurances for their funds.

Let me be blunt. I can afford to lose what I hold in crypto, but can my grandma afford to put her life savings into crypto and lose it all? She needs the assurance of a bank. She needs assurance/insurance that guarantees her funds. She doesn't want to be her own bank. She wants someone to look after, and guarantee, her money. She wants to know it's there when she needs it.

Imagine your grandma talking to someone like the boss of BitGrail over a dodgy entry...

Be your own bank is a myth that will never happen in our lifetime.

Maybe crypto will become an underlying payment protocol but I don't believe we will ever get to a point where people will be their own bank.

Half an hour in your house and thieves can clear you out! What recourse will you have? Who do you speak to?

The Grandmas of today aren't going to convert their life savings into crypto.  The women that are having babies right now will eventually be Grandmas, and they will be the ones with their money in Crypto.  No one is going to store their crypto in a centralized bank.  That's foolish.  Just this week someone tried to rob an actual exchange at gunpoint and thankfully didn't get anything.  All a criminal would have to do is kidnap the CEO's family and demand he empty the vault of crypto.

Actually this is the reality, you have the complete control of your fund and it is beyond blessing opportunity. Before, you have no control to your assets and you complain about it, now you have the complete control and still complaining.

It is just about the discipline right now and contentment of the development. If you can't even protect yourself from theft or hacking then crypto isn't for you. This is the biggest opportunity to show to everybody whether banks or government that we can secure our wealth or asset without needing them.

Clearly cryptocurrency is not for your grandma everyone, yet at least. You don't have to be a computer expert to know how to keep your coins safe. It's the basic thing you should learn before investing. The problem is not the system, it's ignorance.

Paper wallets, hardware wallets... Is this what this industry is offering as some form of security for the whole world... seriously??? That is the joke of the 21st century!

Crypto will only move forward once we have crypto banks. A place where people have assurances for their funds.

There are thousands of people who were able to securely hold their coins for years using both paper wallets and/or hardware wallets.
And cryptocurrencies have moved forward even without crypto banks.

Global consumers cannot handle cryptos. End of! Fact! Own it! Make your money and run back to FIAT.

Yes, I think you are right that we need crypto banks, but on the other hand, then what is the point of that we are now trying to get away from the already created financial system? Do we want this? To live again on the same system?
