Bitcat.ch

Hi all, I want inform you about new round starting today at Bitcat.ch - site where you can win some Bitcoins.

Game rules are simple - you send Bitcoins to the game, they will be placed to the pot, if somebody send bitcoins after you - you will get you money back multiplied by the ratio (for instance if the ratio is 1.1 and you deposited 1 btc you'll get back 1.1 btc)
During the game, 5% from each entry goes to the jackpot, which would be taken by the player who did last deposit.
The round ends when no one have sent BTC to the game at least for 24 hours.
So, in order to win jackpot you must:
    - deposit some BTC to the game
    - be the last person who did deposit
If no one have sent BTC after you - you will get the jackpot.

Check it now - BitCat.ch

After the first confirmation, the list of unconfirmed entries got shuffled.  For example, my two entries with 14gHHdZo1z2wmEfRLjxmTCsEqoDQQQFW86 were back to back, and right when the 1st confirmation hit, the entire list got shuffled resulting in one being knocked back almost to the end.  Is this supposed to happen?

Yep, because when transaction first appeared in bitcoind (with zero confirmation) time of transaction is the time when it appeared, but I couldn't rely on that information, transaction may appear and receive its first confirmation only in next hour, so I must rely on time when transaction appeared in the first block (and bitcoind did the same) and because one block contains multiple transactions they all have the same time

Dropping in just to say that I like the new rules.

With BTC prices going as they are, bitcatch is slightly more profitable than playing the market. Tongue

Dude, every time someone makes a bet the time is extended to 24 hours remaining. If you only need 2 more bets, there's no way you're going to miss out, I wouldn't be surprised if people entering now eventually got paid out.

Yea true i should get paid out but you notice how long it takes to pay people now its getting very hard when the game is this long to get paid.

Sorry, but I can't find my answers in the threads..

A) If someone bets less than the minimum (0.30) or more than the maximum (1.2), they can still 'play' and get the 10%, but they are not eligible for the jackpot, nor does it move the countdown timer another 24hrs?

B) an 'unconfirmed entry' doesn't extend the clock, so you shouldn't wait until there is 5 minutes left in the 24hr period to place an entry

C) how many confirms until official?

suggestion for jackpot rounds:

Bounty to end the current round, say 10 BTC (50% to owner, 50% to pool). If the jackpot gets close/over 10, there would be an incentive for the last guy to pay the bounty and win the jackpot.

A) If someone bets less then minimum - their get 99% of their bet back, if I would sent entire amount back, someone could attack the game sending many 0.01 btc transactions and all server's money would be spent on fees. If someone bets more that upper limit then one bet will be placed with maximum value and remaining coins will be sent back.
Bet bounds changes during round, so, when round starting limits lower  and if round goes for a while bounds usually being raised.

This looks like a pyramid scheme but..How can someone lose?

EDIT: Wow didn't realize that it only pays out after no1 has entered for 24 hours. Now I'm pissed I entered.

Um. It pays out instantly, it ends when no one's entered for 24 hours.

And how do you think people can lose? Same way they do in any pyramid scheme. The longer it goes on, the further the gap between new entries and paid entries. I would say that people entering now are probably not going to end up getting a payout, the gap is getting too wide.

I believe they will get paid, because there is a jackpot. It just gets slow, so it is never late
