This looks like a pyramid scheme but..How can someone lose?
EDIT: Wow didn't realize that it only pays out after no1 has entered for 24 hours. Now I'm pissed I entered.
Um. It pays out instantly, it ends when no one's entered for 24 hours. And how do you think people can lose? Same way they do in any pyramid scheme. The longer it goes on, the further the gap between new entries and paid entries. I would say that people entering now are probably not going to end up getting a payout, the gap is getting too wide. But most pyramid schemes don't have a jackpot.

Jackpots are similar to penny auctions, and those do end at some point.

Why don't bets since Jul 14 02:48:06 get paid out? There is definitely enough money in the pot.

Why do you think so? The current pot is 0.33158 BTC, do you taking into account 3% fee?

maybe a running pot total could be posted somewhere. Or, another column which shows how much new money is needed for payout by each entry.

Sorry, my mistake in calculations. Actually, showing the pot total would definitely help

Jackpot which goes to the last player proved fatal to this round.... Let's play without it next time!

i like the jackpot. How about a defined timeline, but the 2nd highest deposit wins the jackpot? I already suggested game ends after no new bids after 24 hrs or a 10.00 btc deposit to kill the round. Or, countdown time starts off at 24 hours, but goes down 2 minute after each deposit, i.e 1st deposit is 23hrs 58 mins. 2nd deposit is 23 hrs 56 mins, etc.

Good idea, TTBit, although it should probably stop going down somewhere around ten hours. I think the minimum deposit should be raised more, it's been at 0.3 for too long.

I like it just how it is... That way it has the potential to never end and everyone continues to get paid! I see that the same people (addresses) are playing multiple times, getting paid out all of the time.
However I would like to see a more "high roller" round of this game, with a min of 50 BTC's and a max of 100 BTC's. That would get my blood pumping.

I mean, i'm sure it's great, but there's no JackPot, or a lot of deposits in order to full-fill the time period before you get cut off.

You're not the first person confused on this game works. See my answer to this same question in the thread for the 2nd round of this same game: http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=25118.msg329409#msg329409
