After experiencing a peak of nearly 20 times in 2017, the spot price of the digital currency's flagship bitcoin fell on the first day of the New Year.
According to Luxembourg Bitstamp trading platform statistics, spot currency in January 1, 2018 lowest intraday fell below the $13000 mark, hit $12801.40, compared with last Sunday (the last day of 2017) deep closing down 7.8%, or $1078.
