It has been about 3-4 months I am mining with my computer. I have seen these cards so cheap in Ebay that I want to buy bulks of them to build a cheap mining computer. I suspect the seller is a scammer although with very positive feedback or that the card in the link is a Chinese copy.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Graphics-Card-Asus-GeForce-GTX-1060-ROG-Strix-Edition-Gaming-6-GB-VR-nVIDIA-PC/173122596854?hash=item284ee92ff6:g:Qd4AAOSwu6taa1Yp

I am waiting expert replies before I lose money into this.

Nope.
if you tell me I can get a brand new gtx 1060 strix for 100 bucks I would shit myself
The thing is, reputation didn't really guarantee that the seller itself are reputable, you can easily buy Ebay feedback in order to gain a higher trust on your account
See for yourself:
https://tamebay.com/2016/09/people-are-still-buying-and-selling-feedback-on-ebay.html
https://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-feedback/76039-buy-feedback-safe.html

This looks like a common scam, basically a Chinese seller will send you a different and cheaper Graphics Card with the original box and fan from gtx 1060 to fool people thinking it was gtx 1060, while in fact it was not.
Some scam even went as far as to modifying the BIOS of the graphics cards so other program such as GPUz and Dxdiag will see it as gtx 1060 Tongue

Edit: Looks like the listing page got removed, either the seller got caught by Ebay, or he deleted it himself

Thank you I was doubtful but the adrenaline to buy 6 GTX 1060 for 700 dollars just got into me. I always ask in the forum before I take any decision as here you find answers for almost everything which is tech related. I thought so that it was some Chinese scam but what made me think was how can they fit it in an original ASUS Strix box without removing seal of quality.

I didn't even thought that someone can modify the Bios of some Chinese cards to make them look like a 1060 in GPU-Z. I knew the Chinese were scamming in lower versions of Nvidia , with 960 topping the list but never thought things to have gone such far. It appears our world is going from bad to worse with all kind of shit happening even in one of the most trusted marketplaces of the world.

Even myself would really hesitate on such transaction come to think off on the cost of 6pcs gtx 1060 for 700. If you let your craving control you then you would end up on getting scammed. I have seen those instances where Bios have been change so that It would really look legit.I seconded on the fact that buying positive rates on ebay are rampant. This forum saves me a lot when in hesitation and asking off things which I'm aren't familiar to transact.

I have checked the price mentioned in this eBay link that is higher than I can get in local market of my city. I can able to get it for 700 USD to 750 USD. If you got the contact from him. Ask him to reduce the price 50 USD per card buddy. To trust and make the order you can check whether he is perfect and long time reseller on eBay or not and can then place the order for it. That is my advice from my side.

Good for you that you check it out. The ingenuity that people possesses these days just to scam another person amazes me and you wonder what other skills do one need to do the right thing and if the amount of skills is channeled right the seller might become a top seller in no distance time and its not only on eBay several other trustworthy sites and that is why I frown at people buying or selling reviews.

I have been there and scammed because of such reviews and never again will I fall for such not even likes on Facebook or Instagram or even views on YouTube they can be bought. Just like in my post anything way cheaper than the market price is a red flag for a sensible person to dig further just like you have done.

Also, even though you are covered by buyers protection from ebay and paypal, dont take it for granded you will end up getting your money back.
In general, if the price is too good to be true it probably is a scam.
Dont mess around, you will save time and money.

That's something a lot people have gone through already because of too much faith in the buyers protection eBay offers. Everyone can create a PayPal and eBay account with fake details, and the scamers on that platform are well aware of that. Once you bought something from a scammer with either a hacked/bought account, or as mentioned an account with fake details, nothing will be able to recover your funds. Feedback on eBay is also not really an indicator of someone being trustworthy with aforementioned things in mind. I rather not invest in anything and keep my money safe in my pocket, than having it potentially be taken by scammers due to you looking to bank on a cheap offer.

Too much trust will really kill you being too confident into things might really put you into trouble this is why we should always have second thoughts because anything online can really be manipulated which can really deceive you to purchase because you did able to see those common indication on having a legit seller but yet things now changed because scammers are smart enough to find new ways to hide themselves to victimized potential buyers and make easy money.

Be careful, most of them are just copies or chinese/vietnamese versions of each card, i tell you this because a friend of mine got scammed by this way a few months ago.

The best thing that you can do is just buy a new one on Newegg, most of sellers in there are reliable and won't scam you out.

And NEVER try to buy a used one.
