Hello to all of you!

First of all, I don't have any bad thoughts about this new merit system.

I just started to read much more posts after this merit implementation so I realize that bunch of retarded posts get merits. I can't believe that one retarded post can get merit and after that ''retarded'' post we can see 10 constructive posts who deserve merit but they don't have it.

So what is the problem?

Most of the members don't read the whole thread they just read the topic and then they go to comment box.  They don't have time to read other members posts. Do I need to beg someone to read my post?
How can I expect for someone to vote up my post when none of those members read threads till the end.
I got the intuition that just admin and moderators read those posts.

Please keep inside your mind if you read a constructive post then give your Merits to that member.

As you can see of now, Those who started a New Good quality thread get the merit posts as compare if you post good posts within the thread.

Those people are the ones with highest number of merits. If they are reading your posts, you are good to go.

Well, that's not the only problem. I think the new system acting like a sieve now, is rather late, it's like closing the door when all other contaminants have gained entry. So many trolls and multiple account owners have a well-established ranking and wouldn't mind settling for that.

I have seen posts by Hero members and senior members that are jaw-dropping - and not in the good sense of it.

I do wonder if proper merit distribution will take time to percolate throughout the forum. I suppose we'll see.

You're right!

Newer posts get far less merit than post starters.

Yes for sure, a small group of members got time to read all of that spammy comments and after that, they lose their time and just jump into another forum section. If they find interesting and constructive comments at the top they will rate it, but posts on other pages are another story. Sad but true.

This is very much applicable in case of new members only as per my observation. Daily thousands of posts are getting posted and even 10% are deserving, we will need 500-700 merits daily. This much is not in circulation and it will get tougher with time. Only the strongest will survive.
