Hi @pippins

With the amount of information provided I cannot offer you any advice. "accounts" is an internal feature and is an attempt to (overly) simplify what is going on on the blockchain. If you want to learn more about accounts look here https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Help:Accounts_explained

We have a support channel on Discord, we can try and help you in more real-time there if you want. I would suggest that you need to be able to tell us in detail what your issue is, what circumstances led to this situation and what you have tried to do to resolve the issue.

I am delighted to let you all know about another exciting release we have. It is the Dinero Insights explorer. The Dinero Insights explorer is a much more highly featured blockchain explorer than our existing explorer and you are all free to start using it right away. It is presented in our new branding style and looks great too.

Possibly more importantly than being just another explorer, Insights comes with complete REST and websocket APIs that we hope to use in the future as the basis for releasing web wallets and other apps that need more advanced blockchain queries than provided by dinerod RPC.

You can find the insights explorer at https://insights.dinerocoin.org/

Thanks The DINERO Team

We are trying to make Dinero better every day. This involves not only the technical measures we implement but also doing what is
best for our community.

Sometimes there are issues which can be troublesome and have no right or wrong answer. Right now we are faced with one such in the proliferation of shared master nodes.

When we started out a month ago, we tried what we thought was a little experiment with by enabling a few of our early adopters to get involved in a shared masternode.

In an attempt to try and protect our user's funds we offered guarantees to cover their funds in such circumstances. The initial guarantee was intended to cover 1 masternode, but due to the enthusiastic uptake and implementation of this experiment, we subsequently extended it to include 4 masternodes.

Honestly, since then I am unaware as to how many shared masternodes are currently in operation, and this is a matter of great concern to me.

I am concerned that there are significant risks to all parties involved in this arrangement, mostly the owners of the funds but also the shared masternode operators and reputational risks to our core project as well by association.

Regrettably, after careful consideration, we have decided that we can no longer offer, endorse or encourage Shared Masternodes. We believe that the risks to you our users are too substantial and we want to to try and ensure that everyone's interests are protected.

With immediate effect, we will no longer offer any Shared masternode services.

The guarantees that we made for Tims 3 nodes and FallowWings 1st node remain in force as laid out in the original / extended guarantee.

No other guarantees have been made or will be extended.
Until or unless we come across an ironclad mechanism to protect our user's interest we will not allow any further advertising of shared masternodes on our Discord channel. You are free to engage third parties, but we must advise caution, you are handing money over to someone with very little recourse in the event of a problem or dispute.

If anyone is advertising shared masternode services on our Discord channel, it will be treated as spam.

Shared masternodes are clearly a service that there is demand for, and we will investigate appropriate and safe solutions that might enable this service in the future.

Meanwhile, if anyone is aware of such solutions, or is prepared to help us develop them we would love to hear from you.

The risks of shared masternodes are fairly obvious and undeniable, a strong warning notice from the developers about their significantly elevated risk relative to other services is fine. But the risk is only significantly elevated, it's not on a different planet to the sh!t exchanges you're depending on and regularly recommending to new users.

I fail to see how developers are really making Dinero any better by attempting to dictate the method of usage and access to masternodes. Better to let the people decide on the risk/return profile they are willing to accept. Developers have no obligation to provide guarantees for 3rd party services, everyone knows that.

Blanket banning all discussion of shared mn's on your Discord channel obviously isn't legitimate spam filtering BTW. It is just suppression of free speech justified by protectionism, you are well within your right to do that despite it being strongly against the original crypto currency movement, but calling it spam filtering is bs.

@joku In no way are we suppressing free speech, we are not banning discussion or and we are certainly not dictating the methods of usage. Please actually read the notice before making such comments.

We have legitimate concerns about an issue where many users face financial exposure.

We have in fact gone over and above to try and protect our users and in the first instance we are simply highlighting our concerns.

We never said, and we never have limited discussions on the topic, we have simply stated that any service providers advertising such services will be treated as spam.

Do you believe it is responsible to allow anyone / everyone to advertise such services?

For reference, we do not allow other advertising on our Discord either, you can call it bs if you want, I call it trying to do the right thing for users, and if you did read all the way to the end of the notice, you might have read the part where we invited proposals for solutions.

Hi Everyone,

I would like to share another update from the Dinero Core Team. The full update is available at the following link; http://www.dinerocoin.org/Dinero-Update-March-4-2018.pdf or the text is copied here for your convenience.

DINERO UPDATE MARCH 4th, 2018

Hi Everyone

Can you believe it, we are in March already!

Since our last update about ten days ago, we have been working hard to improve the Dinero project. As well as ongoing developments, we also have some exciting news and releases to share with you.

Firstly I am delighted to announce that our team has expanded with two new members, YoYae and MindMiner have joined our ranks.

YoYae has joined as a core-developer and brings with him extensive experience and knowledge of both cryptocurrencies and software development.

MindMiner joins us in community support and has extensive mining, IT, and support experience.

I hope you will join me in extending them both a very warm welcome to the team.

As I mentioned in the last update, we have a number of parallel work-streams which we continue to work on. I am delighted to share with you the results of a few of these;

THE DINERO INSIGHTS EXPLORER (NOW LAUNCHED)
This is a much more detailed and functional blockchain explorer
than the existing official blockchain explorer

This is now officially launched and available at;
https://insights.dinerocoin.org

THE DINERO MASTERNODE & GOVERNANCE MONITORING WEBSITE (NOW LAUNCHED)
This site provides detailed statistics and monitoring capabilities for the masternode network, and also visibility on the Governance system;

This is now officially launched and available at;
https://masternodes.dinerocoin.org

PAPER WALLET (NOW LAUNCHED)
The Dinero paper wallet gives you the ability to generate a Dinero address and private key printed together. It is an offline wallet and is a type of "cold storage" for your Dinero.

You can find the paper wallet at;
https://paper.dinerocoin.org/

We have made several other less visible (but equally critical) improvements such as adding https to our official explorer at https://explorer.dinerocoin.org and many code improvements to both the core wallet and supporting software repositories (follow us on Github for updates).

We have made significant progress on updating the core Dinero wallet to reflect our new brand guidelines and logo and hope to be in a position to launch this within the next week.

Following the wallet launch, we will be focusing significant attention on our website, blog and social media profile. We believe that these are critical areas that will help deliver our message to many users and as such need a great deal of work.

Other things that are in our current pipeline are producing a roadmap, a white-paper, more and better interfaces such as mobile and web-wallets, to mention just a few highlights.

I hope we can get the new website out soon and use that as a place to communicate our plans and interact with you all on an ongoing basis.

As always, we welcome your input and feedback and appreciate your ongoing support.

Kind regards

The Dinero Team

What are the hardware requirements for MN?
For running a masternode you will need a linux server with a fixed IP address. The minimum requirements are not terribly onerous. Typically an entry level VPS will get you started. We would recommend Ubuntu 16.04 with minimum of 1GB of RAM but many different OS and configurations will work. Of course you can scale up from there depending on your budget and circumstances.
