If you think Facebook is now becoming harmful that helpful to you, might as well quit Facebook but as long as no reason to worry about, just enjoy being connected with friends and as an alternative to phone. Imagine how much cost it cuts your communication budget using messenger than actual calling.

If quitting facebook, families who are abroad will no longer communicated. People can't socialize and interact to the people, they cant share or even exchange culture, beliefs, food cuisine and friendships to the other people around us.

Billions are signed up on Facebook and i am one them..yes, it has benefits like reconnecting with my friends and families who are physically distant. It is a medium to share my thoughts and ideas and i am also aware with what is happening around the globe. It is indeed a powerful tool in social media.

But it also has its downside.. like the privacy issue, although we can manage our privacy setting, there's a lot to be done to secure the privacy of its members. 

And personally, its time consuming.. everytime i log in my account i tend to be less productive. I am also aware that some posts i  see are either fake news or really non-sense. I

Maybe, i will consider deactivating my account sooner or later, for my sanity.

No need to quit facebook since I seldom use it. I just spend a little time browsing facebook.  I just post messages and photos if I have new pictures but not all the time.  I also get bored browsing all your friends posts.  Facebook has disadvantages and advantages.  One advantage is that you get to contact your long lost friends and relatives. This is the easiest and fastest way to contact your friends all over the world.  On the other side it has also an disadvantage, one is facebook can be use to humiliate your enemies. The sad thing is the whole world knows it. Another thing is it consumes all the users time.  They have no time for other important things.  They get addicted to facebook. You only need to manage your time when using facebook. Discipline is also needed.

I never liked facebook, it's not user-friendly. I just have to use it for bounties but I hate when someone unknown tags me on some stupid pictures or adds me to the groups.

Oh it is. But honestly it seems to be going the way of myspace because of that. I have largely stop making posts there because most of my friends are of an opposite political leaning, they just ignore it. And if people are not going to engage or just post some crap, why bother?

Yeah social media nowadays is the source of fake news, fake events, fake people and etc. I have the empathy of this post since I am also a social media hater like facebook. But there different ways of viewing things in this social media. One could be affected by theses events or one doesn't care of what is happening on social media and focus on what is the advantage of these application. There lot of advantage with social media esp. facebook. It is a matter of how you view things regarding with the issue. Just ignore them and focus on what you can learn more with social media.

Deleted my facebook two years ago and few of my friends followed. Those of my friends who still used it told me we were being arrogant and elitist by refusing to waste our time on it. Now since this recent 'scandal' they deleted their facebook too

Its up to you on how you handle youre mood for how you define what you see on facebook, dont give a different meaning every post that your friends do , you will not affected. but if you look like it stresses because of the readings you see on your facebook, it's easy to quit it.
