Dude relax, me too at first, was really disappointed about the merit system but as you read here in the forum you'll realize that it's not half bad. It was introduced because the forum is really overflowing with shit post. The admins, moderators, and other members just want to make the forum great again.

Aren't these people allowed to choose which post is a quality post for them? If you got a unique post and a quality one, i'm sure there are members that would merit you for that. Also, since it is new to the forum high rank members are starting to help low ranks by letting them examine their posts.

Thanks to this post now I start thinking that we need also the "deMerit" system  .

Look at this time we enter a new system, merit can be used as a benchmark to see the quality of an account. But in reality there are some people who take advantage of merit and even a quality post also has no guarantee to be able to get a merit point. So this system is still not perfect, there is still a thing that can indeed be a real benchmark between real and fake. Hopefully there will be things that can make this system run well and can make people who get merit is a decent person.

All things do have to be updated, especially this forum has more and more users so the use of merit can make everyone the opportunity to get a good chance, be it from newbie to legendary.

You are wrong.

This is completely well thought protocol that has been implemented into the system. This forum is full of smart people who might just try to spam the system the way you are thinking but don't forget that there are smarter managers and moderator who could catch the fish in a minute.

It is obvious thing that whenever we will give the sMerit to someone it will be broadcasted in the recent merit which is accessible by everyone on the forum. If someone starts giving away the sMerit to fixed references then that can be seen clearly from that list along with the link to the post, poster, sMerit giver!

Everyone will be able to asses the quality of that post and anything suspicious is observed then I'm sure strict actions will be taken on such person. I think is very well thought procedure and if we work on it altogether then we ourselves can reduce the spamming.

The op is a perfect example of how the system is going to work. No longer will people be able to easily and lazily rank up half a dozen accounts with shitpoists because if they don't put any effort in they're going to get no where.

A demerit feature would be useful to staff. Instead of bans they could just get demerited for shitposts or ref spam or other such rule breaks they should know better not to break. At least people might pay attention then.

Why not following the rules first then complain later? This Merit System was recently implemented so let's give it a try. There's nothing to worry about if your posting with quality.
