Hey all,

I'm trying to post an ANN in Local (Other languages) section of the forum. There is no Start Topic button in this section!
I have more than 10 Activity points, so it shouldn't be a restriction because of that.
What can I do?

Also, in that section, it's written that "anslated announcements are prohibited unless locally relevant. "   Embarrassed  where should I post the ANNs then?

In order to get the maximum amount of activity points possible, you just need to post once per day on average. Skipping days is OK as long as you maintain the average.

One: You have to be a Senior member to be able to post in there due to all the spam and abuse that was going on.
Two: Alt coins Announcement threads aren't even allowed in there as a language must have it's own local sub board not just a thread.

So there can never be an ANN in my language?    Huh
How is that possible? Surely there must be a way?  A lot of crypto users from where I live, and most of them not very proficient in english  Undecided

No, not unless a local sub board is made for your language.

It's not possible because a thread cannot contain a thread.

Also, ANN spam is annoying; I'd like to see it all confined to one board (which could be trivially ignored), not machine-translated all over the place.

Finally, how would those users who cannot understand an English-language ANN be able to otherwise interact with the altcoin team in English?

Is there a solution to creating a topic in 15 languages? Let's say I'm trying to announce bitcoin for the first time. Why shouldn't I be able to post the ANN in my native language?

Finally, how would those users who cannot understand an English-language ANN be able to otherwise interact with the altcoin team in English?

If your native language wasn't english, you would understand that it's very hard for a new user to understand Whitepapers, ANN posts, and most technical terms for crypto in english. A translated page helps the average user to understand more about a coin. They will then INVEST in the coin.
By your logic, no one should ever translate anything! They may be here to read the ANN, not take part in discussions, dev talk  Huh

The translations I have seen here so far haven't even been good ones. But announcements for coins, tokens, services etc. don't really bother me as long as they're confined to their own board or sub-board. But flooding local sub-boards with ANN spam would easily drown out other discussion.

And yes, of course it's possible that users are actually flocking here to read advertisements rather than to discuss other matters. But I'm speaking for myself, not for them.
