Hello, have an S9 that is not powering on.
Using AP3W++ on 110V. ( 220V being installed next week. )
Even powering on without hashboards connected (following bitmains troubleshooting guide) there are no signs of life with the controller board..
This suggests a faulty controller board according to their guide.
Now do I order replacement controller board or am I missing something -- will the s9 refuse to show signs of life on 110V using ap3w++?
Thank you!

You should be able to power the controller and a couple boards on 110VAC. Are you disconnecting the I/O ribbon cable coming from the board(s) not being powered?

Is the cooling fan for the PSU moving? And you've checked your breaker for the outlet? Stupidly obvious I know, but 1st rule of troubleshooting; rule out the easy/obvious stuff

Is there a way to effectively test that? PSU powers on but I have not yet confirmed if it delivering power or not.

Awesome man - thank you! Will check this right away.. Also someone in another thread just said that the S9 will not post at 110V with apw3++ without sufficient wattage .. is there any truth to this?

I saw that, now I've never tried 110v, but the AP3++ will provide power on 110v (up to 1200W). And because you removed hashboards and still no joy I think it's something else. ***BUTT** I would wait for more experienced folks to chime in about that

Tried this and sure enough, getting zero readings with both methods.. Now my question is if my PSU is defective or if the PSU will not provide power at all on a 110V outlet? Getting 220V installed tmrw so we will see ...

Unfortunately if you're getting no output from the psu at 110VAC I wouldn't expect anything different at 220 unless the autoswitching circuitry is wonky.

So if my PSU is defective, can I attempt to run 4 individual 600W PSU's (one for controller board and one for each hashboard) since I have them sitting around.
Or should I just replace the APW3++?

You could do that, sure. I'd think 3 would be enough unless you don't have enough pcie connectors.
