Guys,

I have two Bitcoin clients running on two different computers:

 Computer A: Bitcoin 0.3.23
Computer B: fresh installed Bitcoin 0.3.24

But the new Bitcoin 0.3.24 does not behave the way it did before... I mean, I sent B$0.01 (two times, second time I've sent through MyBitcoin automatic forwarding) from Computer A (0.3.23) to Computer B (0.3.24) but, at the Bitcoin 0.3.24, NO NEW ADDRESS automatically appeared at "my receiving address" in the AddressBook (I can see the new address at the main interface screen, but no anywhere else)! But it happens in Bitcoin 0.3.23... Why this have changed?!

Where can I manage my automatically generated new Bitcoin Addresses?

 Take a look:

Bitcoin 0.3.23:

 Bitcoin 0.3.24:

Thanks!
Thiago

I seem to have read somewhere that we are no longer randomly generating new addresses, but I cannot find the link anymore.

Anybody else read the same?

I can see the new address at the main interface screen, but no anywhere else)!

I tried replicating this but I couldn't.  Out of curiosity was the wallet created by 0.3.24, or was this a wallet from a previous version that is getting its first transaction in 0.3.24?

[update: When paying closer attention on a second attempt, I now see the behavior you describe.  A new address does automatically get generated but no it doesn't get added to the address book.]

This is a bug - automatically generated addresses aren't added to the address book it seems. Don't worry, they're still added to your wallet and you should receive the funds.

I do Bitcoin stuff.

Okay...

I'm the master in finding BUG everywhere! lol

That's because I want to help!

So, where is the Bitcoin Bugzilla/Trac/Redmime or Launchpad.net to submit a bug?

 https://bugs.launchpad.net/~bitcoin or https://bugs.launchpad.net/bitcoin ?
 https://launchpad.net/bitcoin ?

Like the MySQL development, Bitcoin can be "moved" to Launchpad / Bazaar:

 https://launchpad.net/~mysql+canonical-support-bazaar

 But honestly, Git rulez!  \o/

 Anyway, look this!

Bitcoin "BUG Report" at Launchpad:  ;-)

Automatically generated addresses aren't added to the addressbook
 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bitcoin/+bug/810172

 And this:

Mint to use Launchpad for translations, bugs, blueprints and github for code hosting and version control
 http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=970

Why we don't do the same as LinuxMint?!   O_o

Thanks!
