At 18:00 GMT, Thursday, April 19, 2018 we are happy to announce the release of 2.0 of the NYXCOIN core!

This is a major release of the NYXCOIN. This release contains new features, improvements and bug fixes.

Connections from peers/wallets with version lower than 2.0 will no longer be accepted.
Because of this, everyone must update at: 18:00 GMT, Thursday, April 19, 2018.
The source will be loaded on https://github.com/nyxpay/nyx/ and http://www.nyxcoin.org early.

The most notable changes are:
- Align with btc 0.12;
- 2MB block upgrade(*);
- Transaction fee reduction 10x(*);
- InstantSend vulnerability fix(*);
- PrivateSend improvement which should allow user to have mixed funds available much faster;
- Remove support for local masternodes;
- Fix masternode payment score/rank calculations
- New rpc call "masternodelist info"- shows additional information about sentinel for each masternode in the list
- Various RPC changes;
- Lots of backports from Bitcoin Core and refactoring of our own legacy code which should improve performance;
- Experimental HD wallet with BIP39/BIP44 support.

Who is required to update?

IT'S A MAJOR UPDATE, SO EVERYONE - END USERS, MINERS, POOL OPERATORS, EXCHANGES, AND MASTERNODE OWNERS MUST HAVE THE UPDATE!

How to Upgrade

Download latest release(2.0.0.0) from: https://github.com/nyxpay/nyx/releases - according with your operating system
Unpack.
Shut it down.
Wait until it has completely shut down, then just copy over old files the new files.
Start it up.

Masternode upgrade:

Masternode owners must check if their configuration includes "masternode.conf" (according guide from web site ).
The protocol version are changed during this update, you will need to issue a start command from your wallet.
Windows or cold wallet setup with windows: you can issue the start command by simply clicking the button in wallet
Linux: ./nyx-cli masternode start-all

Why am I getting an error when I start the watchdog after upgrading my wallet for my masternode?

it says:

"Sentinel runs every 1 minute

Hi!

I have the same problem as OCTJAM.
I've just updated nyx on linux cold wallet and now I see in console "Invalid Masternode Status, cannot continue." when I type "SENTINEL_DEBUG=1 ./venv/bin/python bin/sentinel.py" (like in guide).

Sync on cold wallet finished. If I tried to start MN from control wallet, I've seen "PRE_ENABLED" and then, after few minuts, it shows "WATCHDOG_EXPIRED".

Where is the thing that we missed?

Problem solved. After update of control wallet, the status changed to "ENABLED" and error on linux cold wallet has gone too.

You're right, at this point NYX has exceeded its peer QBIC, and I'm going to replace all my QBICs with NYX.
Compared to NYX, QBIC's price is too bad.
