a): guaranteed by the gold we store.
Question 1 b) Gold-backed means fallback plan if something really bad happened to the company and it had to declare bankruptcy. Then the company would be obliged to sell the gold in order to pay for the core value of the amount of OZT holders would have.
So, minimum value is the core value corresponding to the amount of gold in the vault. Not to be traded. Only used in the worst scenario presented above.
