Most of the Airdrops are asking Passport as the verification document. Can we really trust them to give such kind of a sensitive document ?. what are your opinions ?.
why would they need passport as the verifcation document
why would they even need to verify you on an airdrop? it's crypto... it's pseudonymous...
For a fiat exchange, on the other hand, you should probably get used to it. Depending on how much convenience you want.
It's not that easy to cash in and out of crypto, and you will probably want to deal with coin/fiat exchanges at some point (e.g. Coinbase). These companies are (depending on region) required to verify your identity for tax and money-laundering purposes.
on the other hand, in the case of fiat related exchanges I agree with requiring verification
in most countries that deemed crypto/fiat exchanges legal, the exchange must follow the regulations
and the basic regulations on exchanges is
KYC and
AML imposed by the local government
