Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I am hoping that we will get clear opinions on threads now, instead of someone asking a 10 word sentence and getting 5728 pages of responses. Maybe we can political arguments or anything where we cite evidence and have rebutals. I'd rather see a 3 page thread with a few people making great points than 50 pages of shit.

Surely it would increase the buying and selling of merit.
But it would also reduce the number of alts and their useless posts as they make no large difference in ranking up.

It certainly does away with the spamming but it is going to give rise to another type problem here in the forum which is the selling and buying of merits, Hope the administrators ban anyone who offer and patronize that kind of service in this forum.

The option is still too raw, it would certainly not be bad if in the near future it made it more loyal to users, because not only newcomers suffer (but they are in the first place) and all those who did not reach the status of the legend.

You really are an optimist.
Clear opinions? I guess this is not a matter of quantity but quality - the number of post may decrease but the ratio of clear opinions will remain the same.
One of the most popular threads here is "Do muslims mastubate?" - which is less than a 10 words sentence. And I'd bet it will remain popular.  Roll Eyes

BTW I share your hopes, but I make myself no illusions.
