I do not think that ETH  can cost $1, although everything is possible. A lot of ICO and other tasks are built on the Ethereum blockchain . This platform is very useful and necessary for cryptoworld.  ETH developers  need to solve the issue with scalability and then the Ethereum will become an even more stable coin with a great value.

the problem? some coins are just way overvalued now. they have small teams, no earnings, often no real use or product, yet they are worth billions in market cap. many of the big players in crypto will go bankrupt if people keep pushing them......

the only way we can save crypto is if we evaluate companies realistically. if we buy into new, cheap, promising projects. not into the bubble coins that are extremely high.

There have being many companies which suffered from that fate but ETH is not going to be one of them, ETH is a useful coin and while there are many copies around that the are trying to do the same there is no coin like it right now, however if what you want to do is to obtain a lot of profits then in a way you are right investing in ETH is not the best idea, instead invest in new smart contracts platforms that are undervalued.

If incase eth is having some troubles with their network and all eth token based will be affected then this can happen but with the ethereum now is showing a very good price and having a strong price supports there is nothing to worry hence $1 is just a wish now.

i will actually bet everything in my wallet that it is going to be impossible for eth to go $1 again. a fudster can even drag the price of WAVES to $1 which is just not too developed and sasha being the lead is just wandering around the world doing conferences enjoying the funds. I'm sure ETH will never go back $ 1 this year. As of now, the price of an ETH is $ 710, ranking second on CoinmarketCap, which has a huge trading volume each day. Eth is a huge development potential, it has very good technology and platforms so many ICO projects are using it. or even if the market breaks it is hard to return $ 1.

How i wish that it could go back again for $1 even just for 1 day and i will buy 1000 ETH ,and it will go back the price up to a 1000$ in a week time then i will become an ETH millionaire. That's exactly right, this speculation is too far from reality and this coin already established a strong foundation which can't be destroy easily. Crypto are now becoming more popular and I believe this will be more useful in the coming years and also its value will be increased.

This is nonsense but deep inside my heart i'm hoping this will happen and will pump right after buying thousands of ETH  
but seriously, this will not happen, if cryptomarket will lose it's investors and traders probably the price will surely become 0 instead of $1 but as long as the demand and the market is healthy it will keep it's price relatively good forever.

now we need to make the demand and supply become healthy to keep the price up.
however, i agree with you that etherium will never goes down to $1 again this year.
