So. I've been reading these forums for about an hour in the economics area. Found some pretty interesting things and figured it was finally worth joining the discussion.
So... I go through the hassle of creating an account. Then I find I can't post. Apparently there is some rule about a minimum number of meaningful posts? I start scrolling through the newbie sections and find crap about I'm Batman, I shine a light in the night blah blah blah.
http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=15672.msg206695#msg206695Are these the quality posts I'm tested for before I can participate in an economics discussion?
I continue on with my scroll and now its about teabags and flashlights?
http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=15672.msg206830#msg206830That of course came with another meaningless donation link. I still don't understand this. Like I'm going to give a complete stranger what we are trying to discuss what may be viable currency or not.
Please tell me these posters and not actually going to get approved to post.
I'd just like to know what hoops I need to actually jump through to discuss the economic viability of Bitcoins. That's why *I* am here. I've now waited about 15 minutes just determining that I can't in fact discuss economics and want to read this forum no further. Sort of a buzz kill.
