 Well, since I am exposed to the infinite opportunities out there, I would never keep the amount in banks (other than short-term cash parking purpose). I would diversify the entire capital in smaller units and will invest each unit in multiple sectors such as crypto, stocks, real estate, commodities etc. If you are specifically asking about crypto investment then my 10 to 20% portion would be big players like BTC/ETH etc but would invest heavily in promising alt-coins too.

This. Not many people here have mentioned this but investing into real estate is one of the best investments anyone can make. If I had a million, I would probably only put a small amount into crypto and a lot more into real estate.

Let's return back to your question: I would buy bitcoin, ethereum, monero, litecoin, eos, neo, waves, vechain, omisego, ada and some new released altcoins. possibly 5. Total 15-16. And hold.

I don't think real estate pass crypto investment in long term but for short term I get your point.

Real estate is a bubble and you can't have a good return from real estate investments. In crypto investment, it's possible to have a good return from your investment. Only make sure you're investing in trusted coins such as btc, eth, ltc.

the best thing that can be done with this amount-is to invest about 50% in bitcoin and Ethereum, the rest is divided for altcoins, it will probably be better than just spending them

I cannot set and say the percentages if I do have $1 million as I am going to set it as a big portion for savings like keeping it to banks, some of if for investing into local business and some will be invested into crypto as the earning is high but risky.
Earning $1 Million through crypto is also worth investing back into crypto because cryptocurrencies is one of the higher earning investment than in local.

Only if my Oyster Pearl PRL will be soon priced into around $15 then I could get $1 Million and hopefully it will climb  that price value this year.
I have many plans if ever I ever have that crypto asset worth value then more than half of it will be invested back to cryptocurrencies because for me investing crypto will offer me higher returns, rewards and earnings.
Of course I should keep some for savings but I should invest into local business in order to establish multiple sources of income for my family's basic needs while watching my investments grow in crypto market.

That's the most important to do if having $1 Million earnings through crypto investments. buying and building a house, buying new car and investing into some local businesses will offer stable income and comfortable life.
But for me, I should invest back into cryptocurrencies because for me although it's risky but still crypto is one of the best investment in this generation and we're very lucky that we are able to earn new altcoins and money while the world hasn't yet fully adapting this crypto and blockchain technology.
earning $1 Million worth isn't impossible but needs hardwork, experience and luck.

I would not invest in a bank. I would buy an apartment and rent it out after that I'd buy bitcoin and ether and then go on a trip with family.
