Hello,

I'm looking for buying a new motherboard.

I saw these cheap options on aliexpress and Ebay :

- Colorful H81A BTC V20, 85usd on Aliexpress : https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/COLOR-Carte-M-re-H81A-BTC-V20-Mineur-ATX-Conseil-LGA1150-Socket-Processeur-H81-Carte-M/32849901817.html
This brand is on Gearbest too, they produce GPU (RX, GTX 1070/1080/ti)

- the cheapest 6 PCIe motherboard I found in Ebay, named "703371", 60usd on Ebay :
https://www.ebay.fr/itm/H81-BTC-6-GPU-Dual-Channel-SATA-1150-Mining-Motherboard-For-ETH-Bit-Coin-Miners/323008445839

Do you have some feedback about these cards, or aliexpress/ebay no-name cards in general ?

Maybe it's more dangerous than a classic ASRock h81 or Gigabyte ?

Thanks Smiley

Colorful isn't exactly a well-known manufacturer name outside Asia but they're supposedly one of the more popular GPU/Motherboard manufacturers in the Asian region. I don't know about the particular motherboard though.

From what I can gather from the comments section of this video the motherboard seems to work as advertised. AliExpress does have decent buyer protection so you should be covered if it doesn't work.

I have two Colorful H81A-BTC and a have problem with both. Works only 5 pci-e slot, i try flash bios but unsuccessful, problem not resolved.
Pci-E slots very flimsy, risers does not sit tightly.

One of my friend has tried a Colorful motherboard before (ordered through Alibaba). It is SHIT quality. The board went out after 6 weeks, so I suggest you buy a better quality board. He is lucky his GPUs were not burnt out.

Fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful. Just HODL.

Ok, thanks for your feedbacks.

I have some Colorful RX580 GPU, only 1 month use, but it looks ok, very good hashrate after bios mode and OC (30.5 Mh/s).
I would have think their motherboard would be correct too, but ok.

Skimping on the motherboard will cause you no end of headaches. Especially random chinese manufacturers, you will have zero support, and it will be almost impossible to find proper english drivers/BIOS flashes.

Just do your research on this site, there are doezens of motherboards reviewed/running/etc and you should be able to find one that suits your needs without breaking the bank.

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.
