thanks for this guy taking in all the info u are saying so there is nothing electrum can do on there side then I take it ?

No. If you sent it from electrum then it can only be sent by the exchange.
You should contact their support, if you have difficulty finding this, PM me on here with the name of the exchange or post the name of the exchange here.

in some similar incident, you will never recover the wrong BTC you send ,, it's a stupid neglect. and in some exchange it was already specified that the delivery error will result in loss ,, so now you just erlu let it ,, LOL  Grin

dammm for real so no way round this issue I take it even banging on at support  and nothing electrum wallet support can do

Electrum's just a wallet that follows the protocols of Bitcoin. It's like trying the email the Bitcoin Devs to get your coins back, it's just not a practical scenario.
Try asking the support once and see what they say, there are a few that are nice enough to return it after just one ticket is opened with them. Can we find out what site it is though?
