Not sure whats happening with r3wt and NAN so I proposing a community takeover.

I know the NAN code very well and to clear the dev side of things, I was only ever paid for my work. NAN was not my idea or my dream. It was a bunch of code handed to me that even the great Shak avoided. I spent numerous hours getting it up and running and offering support in a limited role.

So I propose a takeover by myself and the community to get it back on track. There are numerous issues that need to be addressed and I will be looking for community support to get it back on track. We have the support from Cryptsy in getting this fix done to resume trading in the future.

So here's what we have and what we need.

The Likely Problem
Transactions from coins-e and cryptsy are not hitting the highest chain and more than likely running old client versions. I have contacted both exchanges for a response.

Help Required
NAN source- OK- it has resided on my git since launch and has all updated code. Version 2.1
NAN Block Explorer- Currently there is no block explorer know. Idealistically we need 2 to keep monitoring levels up. Community funded or donation needed.
NAN Dev- If we take over the coding will be done my way and approved by the community for release. All pushes will be made public giving all devs a chance to input.
Community Manager- This coin needs a voice. A person that can bump posts regarding client updates and general news.
Linux and MAC Client Compilers. If you can do linux and MAC wallets let us know.

How the proposed takeover will work.

Once we have an active block explorer on the longest chain I can update the client with checkpoints and minor fixes. Then I will draw up a proposed hard fork and leave the code up for community discussion regarding changes and coding improvements. When the majority of the community agrees on proposed code and hard fork implementations I will roll them out.

I will keep this thread updated when any information is updated and will tidy it up as i go along.

So without wasting to much time, post below if you can help, want to see it fixed, agree on the takover and any other suggestions regarding what you would like to see implemented in the hard fork.

Regards.

Good to see support. Once it is fixed it should be a lot more stable and reliable.

Bump for approval. The fix will be fast and should be updated by tomorrow with a plan and code change.

Coins-e transactions are not hitting the highest chain. I have asked for client versions from both exchanges.

You should take over Coins-e too as the current "support" doesn't seem to take too much care about updating stuff... Smiley

The main problem is there is a big long chain. A large majoirity of the coins were sent on a forked chain, the Cryptsy chain. Do we go for the Cryptsy chain or follow the highest chain?

Natural selection wins I think tbh.
