Hi, I'm in need of some bitcoins, but I'm looking for ways to get them that doesn't involve spending money. At the moment, I only get bitcoins by mining, but that is going WAY to slow. I've been mining for months on my PC, and I just spent BTC0.48 on a USB ASICMiner. I realize it will take me 5 months just to buy another one. Is there another way, or should I just wait?

If you have any services to offer to goods to sell you could get paid in bitcoins.

There are some faucets and other "free" ways to get very small amounts of coin, but will probably take time for a paltry amount.

Start a business or service that takes bitcoins. I have two. I don't gurantee you'll make bitcoins any quicker, but that is your option besides mining or begging.

Well, I want to start a bitcoin wallet provider, but I don't have enough bitcoins. If anybody's willing to start a business with me, I'd love to. I have experience with programming iOS apps, I also run a hosting company so I have servers available.

This post is no different than someone asking what they can do to get cash.

Mow yards, sell services, get money, then buy bitcoin with that. If you sell your services for Bitcoin only, your missing out on the 99% of ppl who use cash.

How do you wish to earn money from your online wallet provider? Also, programming IOS apps would be totally different to creating a Bitcoin wallet online. Also, why would people trust you? Why would yours be any better?

I think you would be better off starting off by selling things on sites like bitmit, offering services developing IOS apps could be one you specialise in.

The wallet thing is just a thought, I understand that I'd need it to be very secure.

What about starting a bitcoin pool? I could use pushpool and a frontend like simplecoin, as I have access to lots of RAM. I'd have fees of 0.5%. Is there any problems with this, or should I go ahead?

I remember aeons ago wondering how to get more bitcoin than what I already had (which wasn't that much, and no, I didn't go blow it all on SR, LOL). I discovered that a profitable ploy was to hop onto BTC-e and speculate on the exchange rates with altcoins. But that's not for everyone I guess.

I'm selling server space.

http://turbocows.com/

So far, I have 2 customers. I'm not promoting or marketing it at all. Some people just find me.

Then I go to just-dice and double it. I used to do it on primedice and satoshidice. (of course, you can lose it as well.)

you can try the bitcoin faucets but that would take a hell of a long time to earn a lot of bitcoins, purchasing is the only way that i know of.

Ponzi Dice with a 100%+ payout with a forced downline matrix comes to mine.

EDIT: This just gave me a brainfart!

Sell burgers and beers for it, works for me.

Kinda like asking "what can I do so that someone gives me something for it?"

Do something, anything, that is of some value to other people and then charge Bitcoins.

Not that difficult really.
