So many people are stuck in countries with dictatorships and are chained to a failing currency.  So many people are afraid to organize,  or speak their mind, or financially support a political party they agree with for fear of retribution.  And so many people have their privacy invaded by governments (I'm looking at you,  America).

Could Bitcoin truly solve these issues?  I think so.   What do you all think?

No.

Bitcoin and the blockchain are not the Holy Grail or the Ring of Power.
They do not perform miracles.

Also, one thing is for certain, you have no clue what you're talking about.
You mention dictatorship and then think of bitcoin as a tool to fund another political party....in a true dictatorship there is no other political party. Nor there will ever be one, and certainly they will not allow you to funnel money into it.
If you haven't managed to do it with cash why do you think BTC would help?

Do you think that bitcoin would mobilize them ? Let's get real.
The only thing that can save them is education and their own desire to be free, the moment they are no longer a flock of sheep that's the moment they are going to be free.

Bitcoin can't do anything by itself that's true.  But it's a tool people can use.

Also, if you had read my post correctly,  you'd see that I was making statements in a list format and not implying every statement was connected.

For example, the IRS in Obama's administration targeted opposition groups with the purpose of stifling them.  America isn't a dictatorship, obviously but it would still help to have privacy in transactions in many countries.

And as for the cash statement, you realize cash has a physical presence right?  And that Bitcoin is digital, making it easier to give to causes without alerting centrally controlled banks or risking robbery?

And as for them being sheep, every country is full of sheep.  But the internet has caused quite a stir by giving people access to information  and more power which is leading to the breakdown of dictatorial states and encouraging democracy. There's no reason the internet of money can't do the same.

Next time, state your opinion without being rude.  There's no need for it.

And in order to use it you need to turn it into physical goods.
Food, gas, printers, books, ...you have to buy those so you end up with the same results.

Next time, state your opinion without being rude.  There's no need for it.

As long as you use this thread to promote your telegram channel this is called spam, so allow me to act rude since I'm thinking the real reason for this topic was not to discuss the issue at hand but to spam your channel.

The lightning network coming to Bitcoin is a network of inter connected banking hubs and you can see
the map here https://lnmainnet.gaben.win/

This in not going to free anyone and just like Bitcoin they will keep the fees low and then rip you off
just like they did with "on-Block" transaction fees that went from $0.10 to $55 in under a year

Being "Off-Block" will allow banks to rip you off and no one will know about it and if "Block-Chain"
brought you here then the Lightning network should have you running for the exit door

Mining is CPU-wars and Intel, AMD like it nearly as much as big oil likes miners wasting electricity. Is this what mankind has come too.

It has freed the world from the old world concept of database and centralization. These concepts will continuously free our world from the shackles of mass indoctrination being perpetuated by the powers that be.

Yes,  and Bitcoin can be converted into other currencies by political groups who sidestep their countries and use online exchanges but the argument  is anonymity, not in-country usability, which I'm betting you knew but you're realizing your argument is 💩  so you're moving the goalpost.

Ah yes,  attack my bottom tagline when you can't provide a worthy argument.  Classic ad hominem.  Now I know this was a drive-by trolling.  I noticed you have an advertisement as your footer.  Hypocrite much?

yes, some people are getting saturated with the current world economic conditions, instability, and scarcity make high commodities, so they prefer to move to the world of crypto and bitcoin. because only a bitcoin or crypto currency is capable of solving all those problems. they have to manage it well, so it will be far from negative impact.
but why many of them refuse and fight? are they unconscious or blind?

Use logic my dear Watson!!!

The rebels in country A receive BTC from supporters in country B.
Since they can't exchange their coins in country A  they are using an online exchange in country B and end up with money in a bank in country B.

What's the point of doing that when the supporters could just have funded directly their account in country B?

Also I must congratulate you on not posting again your telegram channel.
You see that we can have a discussion without that?

I think it's just a matter of them playing catch up.   Most people are late adopters. It's going to take a while to happen.
But Anti Cen was right when he said there's a lot of sheep.  People are cognitive misers, they don't like to expend the energy to think for themselves.
