I think those rich whales should set up a fund and give to those poor people who have lost a lot of money.  Why don't they do this.

Why? The whole idea of price manipulation by the bankers is to create debt. Why would they want to reduce this, when they can enslave people by increasing their debt.

The current price crash is due to Bitfinex being subpoena'd by US regulators over Tether.

Wait until they lift the lid on exchanges and start doing some audits, the shit is about to hit the fan.

First of all this is not a crash. Correction of few hundred dollars can't be called crash and certainly isn't a reason to worry and to panic. Situation that we have seen many times before.
Everyone who can should use this opportunity to buy cheaper coins now for biger future profit.

Without large price fluctuation and volatility, crypto loses some of its allure to traders.
Bitcoin very much so.

Ok, first, this is not crash, i'm amazed that no one has said so, a 10% or 20% decrease in the price is merely a drop. Second, how are we supposed to know what exactly is going to happen? nobody knows what's happening right now, and nobody knows how long thing drop is going to last. And finally, rather than getting worried, everyone should start buying the dip.

Some fucking retards in this thread, wish I could De-Merit.
I feel you bro, but among the spammers there's people that actually think this is a crash and they might be worried so we should try to help them understand how this thing works.

This is one dip of many that we have seen during the last few weeks. It always ended somewhere close below 10000 dollar. After that we saw the recovery set in again. This time we have once again a nice new doomsday theory for bitcoin, the Tether scam. Maybe it will keep the price down a little longer but ultimately it will vanish into thin air like all those other rumors did.

this is a very bad occurrence for bitcoin.
I think the price will rise again, but can not be predicted when the price will recover. people who want to invest are very happy to see bitcoin prices go down because they can buy as much bitcoin as possible at a cheap price.

I notice quite a big drop in the last few hours.  Is this just a short term thing for a few hours and it will pick up again back to normal.  Or will it go much further down into a big crash.
I don't think it is a crash or something. It is just a small correction and will be settled in few hours only but one thing is for sure that this time is very critical for bitcoin and its investors as i think this is a make or break period for bitcoin and from now it the prices goes high the will climb up for some time and if they again went down they'll be at the ground for sometime.Soo hope for the best and hope the prices goes high only.

I don't think so that price of bitcoins will go much down it would probably stay between range of $10k to $11k.I don't know why people start panicking when there is drop in price I know that they worry about their assets but most people panic sell which would be worst decision.Instead take opportunity of the drop and if you can invest more in low prices. And the drop in price was due to correction of the price it was not a crash.

Yeah, was looking for the source of all this dumping and I found out about the US subpoena. This will drastically impact the price once again. We have been in a chaotic ride this month. So expect another wild swings in the next coming next days. Just saw the price go below $10K, but regain it quickly.

First of all this is not a crash. Correction of few hundred dollars can't be called crash and certainly isn't a reason to worry and to panic. Situation that we have seen many times before.

Technically this not a crash. This correction is really another opportunity to get into the ecosystem. No need to wait for the price to go deeper, $10K or below for me is a great time to buy cheaper bitcoin and hold it for the long haul.

Nobody can tell if this is just a short term drop, are you worrying about this?

This is due to tether's subpoena which is I don't know if its a FUD, I guess but there's a sure thing that after this drop it will increase again.

Keep on watching and tract the prices so if it bothers you and you are scared already, sell.

It is very bad if you are a naive investor who buys when bitcoin has skyrocketed, because you think it will keep going up non-stop, and sells out of panic in situations like this. For me and many others, it is a great opportunity to buy.

I am not too worried because I only have a very little Bitcoin.  But I am worried about people who are losing a lot of money.  It is very frightening when people are talking about selling their house to buy Bitcoin.  I truly hope nobody will do that even if the price goes down a lot.  I will buy some if it does.

I also think that this is very bad, because it is a clear sign of the distrust and uncertainty that prevails in the market, and I think it is also a sign that new investors no longer set high expectations regarding the future of bitcoin, since they are not considering long-term holding as a valid option and only look for quick investment returns, which could end up undermining people's interest in continuing to rely on cryptocurrencies and lead to a period of market stagnation.

Some have said it can go down to $ 8 thou mark but not lower than that. But I can't see any links related to this conclusion.
Though it's an opportunity for everyone to buy cheaper right? Those who are saying that they missed the boat.

Though I don't mind the price, sometimes it makes me curious too. Any news ?

Bitcoin is making a new low with every price correction. If this scenario keeps on continuing than People can lose their faith on BTC as an investment which will lead to the further worst situation. This crash has really given a big HIT to whole crypto market. I hope this HIT is not that big enough which lead to permanent injury or death of BITCOIN or crypto world.

Its the end. Doomsday ahead.

I think END means ZERO mate.
Don't see anything wrong with the prices. We should celebrate, many investors will surely be attracted with the cheaper price.

Try to calm down.

It's a bit funny that you are opposing bitcoin's capability and your still here.

I don't think that we could call this small decrease a "crash". There have always been such events where Bitcoin price decreased quite a lot without any particular reason. Right now many people are afraid to invest because they think that the end of cryptocurrencies is close. They have no idea what they are talking about. Bitcoin won't die anytime soon. In fact, the interest in it will continue to grow in the next few years.
