Hey there!

Anyone can tell form experience how the warranty service of bitmain exactly works? I have an S9 with a low hashrate not showing one board and one with only 2/3 of the Chips. It sucks cause I did a firmware Upgrade and it went up to almost a perfect hashrate and then dropped after another restart and two boards showed 15 degrees...which i have never seen before.

Fact remains, I would like to know if some of you know whats the fastest solution, also on payment...I prefer to pay a guy to fix that thing instead of sending it to hongkong.

Thanks for all the help already!

Fastest solution would NOT include sending the whole unit back to Bitmain.  Anything but that!  Tongue
Short version: Bought an R4 Jan 2017
Sent to hosting facility
Ran for a week then one board craps out
Sent back to Bitmain for warranty repair - $$$ shipping cost
Came back a month later
Ran for a week then one board craps out again
Sent back to Bitmain for 2nd warranty repair - $$$ shipping cost
Bitmain will not repair R4, offers replacement T9
I ask for S9 instead due to similar W/GH as R4
They agree and state will ship Oct. 2017 - it is now Aug 2017
Actually shipped end of Nov. 2017
What a waste of time and coin... Tongue

These aren't the Droids you're looking for: S5 & S7 (Sold), R4B2, R4B4 (RIP), 2x S9 obsolete, 2xS15-28, S17-56, S17-70

If you still have warranty send to bitmain is not that bad. It happen to me the same situation. I just create repair request by Bitmain website and sent to their location in CA. You don't need to send to Hong Kong. They have repair site in CA. It cost me 5x USD for shipping from MA with insurance.

Aside from the above suggestion, you can also use MyRig (formerly known as BitmainWarranty).
Take note: It's a separate company.

Depending on location, these are the extent of services that you can expect from them:

USA - Full Service
RUSSIA, UKRAINE and JAPAN - Limited Service
VENEZUELA - Very Limited Service

Link: https://myrig.com/contacts/

They're also listed on Bitmain itself (regarding repairs): https://archive.fo/rQdd1#selection-1241.20-1257.28

I highly recommend Myrig as well. They are an authorized Bitmain repairer to my knowledge and I also use their hosting services. One of my hosted S7s broke down and they were able to repair it for free in just around three hours. They’re paid, but repair time and shipping costs should be less than that of Bitmain China’s. Even their support system is extremely fast and I’ve never had any issue with them.
