a little bit off topic but hopefully you understand this 4) Destroy paper wallet- Remember Satoshi said to never use a private key twice!
destroying paper wallet is not recommended, in case in the future you need the address for whatever reason wouldn't it better to just say NEVER use the privatekey/address again instead of destroying it also it is advisable to KEEP your old used wallet/address/privatekey, satoshi himself said it long ago in one his posts Sigh... why delete a wallet instead of moving it aside and keeping the old copy just in case? You should never delete a wallet.

You’re right- I write Void on mine all over it (what I mean by destroy)- will update. And no need to sigh - miner miscommunication/poor wording fixed. But why wouldn’t I understand it?

This looks like https://bitcore.cc/checker.php (which doesn't work anymore), and has the same bug: "Balance in $" is calculated from the wrong fields. Example: Thanks - I was starting to gather that. Do you know of one that works right these days? This is ridiculous and why they’re shitcoins -just throwing that out there
Just ignore the "Balance in $"-row, the Balance in Forkcoins is correct.

You can sweep wallets/keys into mobile app Coinimi, I sold my BCH ages ago via Electron Cash & Bittrex but I swept my old private keys containing BTG last week into Coinimi app. It was really easy to do to be honest, I then sent my BTG to Bittrex & converted them into bitcoin.
Easy.

These notes are quite more educative and comprehensible. Destroying old wallets should be avoided, rather keeping them asides in case of future eventualities.

Wow, thanks for the website, didn't know it exist. I have 4 electrum wallets and checking fork coins become tedious with dozens of forks happening in a short time. Just checked I have $600 worth of fork coins in just hundreds of copying pasting. Now to find the right wallet to claim them all. Edit: The checker didn't support segwit yet, I can't search for fork coins using my segwit address

Is there any reason to name as Wallet the process of putting your private key on paper? I think this confuses a lot of people who are new and always have to explain better that paper wallet works more like a pig bank than an ordinary wallet. Some people face some difficulty in understanding that in the paper wallet it is recommended to use one only time and that you need to go through a few steps before using your BTC. Maybe calling Cold Storage on paper would be better.
Anyway, thank you for the tutorial. The explanation is very simple and I will always recommend it.

Is this helpful? It's important to leave paper wallet in there...paper wallets and hardware wallets (like trezor) are the two best ways to store your coins and really other ways are not recommended (like leaving coins on exchanges such as Coinbase or hot wallets like Blockchain or Mycelium).

Cell Phones are much safer than windows pc's (I'm sure you could prob. make a strong case for Mac computers being pretty safe however ).
