I had mine set to dial back once they hit 73C.  That figure was based largely on intuition.  I dialed back one more to 72C last night and for the first time in a week, none of my miners locked up overnight.  Everybody is running smooth and stable (knock on wood).

Just curious.  I also have my fan set up to run from 0 to 100% scaled from 48 to 80C.  So 72C means about 70% fan speed, give or take.

So mine run from around 65C to 72C, the latter being enforced by software.

Mine run between 57C (5850 @1000 MHz with a ACTT cooler) and 73C, with the exception of one of my 5870s that runs at 80-82C, and will also be receiving a ACTT cooler tomorrow.

My 6870 (gigabyte, with the triple-fan non-reference cooler) runs at 67C or below depending on ambient temps, with the fan running on automatic at under 60%.

69*C and 51*C for my two 5850s using Zalman VF3000A coolers with fans at 60% (they are running at 975MHz and 1025MHz respectively).  The hot card is directly behind the cooler one.  See http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=7216.msg345510#msg345510 for pictures.  I hope to undervolt my cards soon which should make them cooler and allow me to turn the fans down.

I try to keep my 6990 clocked at 950Mhz at around 80C and it usually runs 77C-84C depending on ambient temp which my room gets pretty warm at times. I can get temps down in the low 70's though if I use a desk or tower fan to blow on it.

Interesting, the wide range of values.  80C seems high to me but I guess some of the 69xx series cards need the high temps.

Makes me think of renting a shack up in Alaska or Northern Canada.

GPU1 (Sapphire 5870): 76°
GPU2 (Sapphire 5870): 85°

Whatever I try, I really can't get GPU2 lower than 85°. Sad

that's funny. my radiator isn't even capable of cooling the water down to 34°C. my 6950 runs at 52°C.

My Sapphire 5770 (Clock: 935 MHz [Can't change voltage] Memory: 300 MHz) with 100% fan on a closed case runs at 70c.

I keep my case open 99% of the time and have a fan pointed right at the card, so it normally is at 59-61c.

Happily running at 211 MH/s, but I want another mining card. Sad

Out of curiosity, where do you live?  I'm in CO and just lately it's been extremely hot and humid (rain).  I checked on both of my cards tonight and they were hitting 44°C.  Damn.

I backed off the clocks and voltages a bit since the VRMs were getting somewhat toasty.

Ambient temperature in my closed off hallway is 40 degrees celsius.

All my videocards are kept below 80 though.

The temperature where I am peaks at 21*C and when I leave my window open the temperatures of the cards drop to 64*C and 45*C respectively.  The conditions are very good for mining and I know I can push my cards harder (I took my good 5850 to 461.1 MH/s (1110 MHz) and it held it for about 3 hours at 56*C) but I'm more interested in achieving a near-silent miner.

Card temperature is going to vary wildly based on ambient perhaps we should be discussing temperature deltas

Perhaps, it would be good to see what tricks people can play to lower their temperature delta.  However, this thread seems to be more along the lines of what temperatures are reasonable for 24-7 use of various cards.
