据韩媒报道，1月31日韩国关税厅发布了加密货币相关的非法外汇交易调查报告，并揭发到目前为止，共发现了价值6375亿韩元的非法外汇活动。其中，非法汇款约4723亿韩元、在海外交易平台购买加密货币约1647亿韩元，另外还有近5亿韩元的资产外逃。韩国关税厅方面表示：“今后将对加密货币非法外汇交易进行系统的、持续性的管制和调查，包括企业利用加密货币进行低价进出口业务、利用加密货币进行走私贩毒等违法活动。”
