yep, the spin is just a CSS transition, I could delay the message easily enough...  Thanks for the idea.

I didn't see it spin at all. It just suddenly switched to a new position, and the number shown on the wheel didn't match the one announced in the chat. (Browser: Firefox 3.6.17).
