If anyone has been consistently right about Bitcoin, it's Mucus. I don't know what he is posting, but listen to that guy! I remember him being "all in" fiat at $6. If he has any bitcoins, he must have bought back higher, because the price has never dropped below since.

oh, is that why his ignore button is so bright, burning like the sun out there in space?

I disagree. Bitcoin is much bigger than GOX.

About twice as big.

Pretty much the only incentive for the average person to buy BTC.

Well tragically the average person is stupid and unaware of the faults of the fiat system, so yes, it's pretty much the only incentive for the average person.

the times when the majority of new bitcoin users came through sr are over. most of us are bitcoin enthusiasts, either big time or small time, the enthusiasts get other people interested and there is more and more mainstream media coverage.

Yup  Cheesy

BTW, have you noticed how few new threads there are other than people asking 'how high is this going' ??

Omg those things are good. Not only has bitcoin made me more money than my job, given me immense knowledge about currency and trading, and even paid for the laptop I am typing on right now. But they bought my family AMAZINGLY TASTY CARAMELS FOR CHRISTMAS!!

Thanks for reminding me to buy more adamstgBit.

Fragile!? Not only would I not care if it was, I am pretty sure the word you are looking for is 'antifragile'.

FAP Turbo 2.0, the FOREX trading robot which also trades bitcoin!

I had to link it because I love the name. Seriously, that is the real name.

I just tried to us an ATM..my transaction was declined for possible fraud and I had to waste time calling my bank.

The fiat banking system is a mess..I just bought some more bitcoin because of this

Speaking of media coverage, this hits the newstands in the September 2nd issue apparently:

http://www.forbes.com/sites/andygreenberg/2013/08/14/meet-the-dread-pirate-roberts-the-man-behind-booming-black-market-drug-website-silk-road/

The article is just as much about BTC as SR.
