This is extremely good news for those affected by the hack and I'm extremely curious if they will be able to pay back all off the balance for a full 100%. But nevertheless I feel like thed damage has already been done. Trust is extremely hard to gain but even harder (sometimes even impossible) to gain it back when it was lost. I hope for NiceHash' sake they've learned from their mistakes and heavily invested in making their model waterproof.
I am honestly a bit more suspicious towards NiceHash regarding their 'hack' since it's not normal for any service to have that many coins sitting in hot wallets. If I was a miner, I would definitely not go back to that service again, even while knowing they are the best in what they do. Overall, them looking to settle their debt is a good thing, especially so because of the fact that people have swallowed the loss already, and therefore can only go forward from here. Even if they end up paying back just 50% of their debt, then it's still a fantastic development considering that people have nothing right now -- it's always better to have at least something back than nothing.
