why on a thursday? because you have your usual meetup on thursdays? yep. on THAT thursday, specifically. and because berlin is the center of the world, of course If it was a few months off and I had time to make reservations and plans I might consider going. Hell, I would probably go because I haven't had a really good currywurst in years. I can't remember the name but there was a great place near checkpoint Charlie at the mall on Leipziger Platz that had the best currywurst mit pommes frites on the planet (but only when served with a nice Weltenburger doppelbock). Center of the world? I'm a beer lover so I guess I'd have to agree with that. |

Are we talking about sex or bitcoins? LOL I'm almost afraid to get excited this time though. Last time we really didn't know what was going on. As far as I was concerned it would go up forever. This time we can be fairly sure it's happening because of the Chinese governments capital controls and their desire to keep yuan from fleeing the country. What happens when the Chinese govt realizes bitcoin is being used to usurp the govt imposed $50k outflow limit? Kind of puts a damper on the whole party spirit. |

I live in a suburb of Beijing (San Francisco lol). I know more Chinese people than any other group and they tend to live in fear of the government (even here which is odd). I have a feeling that any government sanction would start a mass sell off that would spiral out of control. I don't think the government would try to block it directly but enough of the people would voluntarily comply to start a run. |
