anyone know what might have happened?
As for now you are a junior member and theirs a limitation in wearing signature on your rank.
- Jr. Member: Max 150 characters.
or maybe theirs a problem in the signature code that you are using.

Hi OP, it's the new rank requirements which involve Merit; only those who rank Member and above are able to put links in their signature. I'm not sure what will happen to bounty campaigns which allows Jr Member participation, this should be addressed by the campaign manager.

I'm hoping that this system will increase post quality by:
 - Forcing people to post high-quality stuff in order to rank up. If you just post garbage, you will never get even 1 merit point, and you will therefore never be able to put links in your signature, etc.
 - Highlighting good posts with the "Merited by" line.

Also if you check https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0
It now states that Links is allowed upon Member rank. Hopes this help clear the confusion.
Good luck ranking up to become Member Wink

Not sure if this is the place to ask, but could someone tell me what a signature is please Tongue Sorry, I'm new here and well aware there might be an open topic explaining, but haven't managed to find it. Thanks guys

a signature is a custom message you can add at the bottom of your posts

The problem is with merit and new rank system, accounts are below Member rank can not wear signature attached hyperlink. More precisely, that means they can wear signature, but link inside signature cannot work.

How come you're able to have link in your signature? Is it because you're a Copper Member?  Huh

Yes. Cooper members have some privileges as almost the same as Members in the forum. They can put links in their signature.
