Yeah i remember old time where only one or two project launch in a week, at that time is easy to decide wich one you want to participate. but now almost everyday new ICOs launch, most of them scam some not. Some give high ROI that almost 100 times, some only make your money disappear. Chose wisely your money not a toy.

Invest 1000$ in perfect ico - what does it mean?
You will probably spend $50K until you find such ICO and when it raise 50 times you won't make profit.
Investing in random projects is gambling, even if you find decent project which will become big it doesn't guaranty 50X price increase.

I think what you have just said is true. It is true that making money thru ICOs can really give you millions if you have invested in the right one. The key here to earn millions is to be wise, choose wisely which ICO is the best for your investment that will give you ROI. Most importantly, invest only what you can afford to lose. So many ICOs are being launched everday that is why better be careful.

1) A lot of alternatives every day, while you are choosing the right one, your head will spin
2) A lot of scam. It is not sure that if you invest in project, and it will rise and even get a lot of money on pre-sale, your money wouldn't fly into a pipe
3) Even projects with a good idea and good product sometimes don't get a lot of money because of bad marketing, and conversely
4) Because of facts written up would you like risk and invest 1000$ in 100000 tokens that are only starts and you don't now what to expect?

Doing the math on how to be a millionaire in ICOs is very very far  from reality as of the moment. It' a whole gamble thing. With so many ICOs being launched daily, you can't easily land for a great one that will surely moon. Other than that, ICOs image are being tainted with a lot of scam ICOs, thus investors are now having some hesitations. Out of my 18 ICOs late last year, only two succeeded and the profits are not even enough to gain back my overall investments. I'm not spreading FUD but just I'm just sharing my experience. I still suggest that if you intend to invest in ICOs, be extra critical selecting a project.

- Read the whitepaper
- Explore the concurrence

10x-50x ico's days are gone and it was in 2017, but 2x-5x is right now and happening each day, you just need to do your homework.

You need to check and evaluate project idea.
Also check the team and advisors.
Check if there are any prototype or beta.
Also very important part is token metrics, which actually tells you if it's even possible to get 5x or 10x or even 2x.
And many more aspects to check and to research before investing.

Yes of course it's risky and no one said that it's easy and guaranteed money.
But if you have chance of 80% to triple or double your money, would you invest? Of course you do. Wink

Well, if you're lucky then you invest into ICOs that has the real potential to be the next Top Altcoins but that's very tough to figure out which is the best from the others so it depends if you're because I believe that not all ICOs could make it to the real market.
That's why I never invest into ICOs because I don't want to risk my hard earned money but instead if I knew that ICO is real and has the best project implementation then I am going to invest when they hit the Cryptocurrency exchange because that case I'm sure that their value will rise and surge.
Just like what I did in Oyster Protocol PRL, I got it last November for only $0.005 per coin but after 6 weeks it surges $4.8 so that made me a millionaire in our local currency.

I absolutely agree with you. You're talking about the ICO absolutely right.
But, apart from this, this appeal looks like an attempt to deceive newbies and force them to give their money.
