I am doing trading with altcoin from last six months but not able to make good profit.
Can any anyone please tell me the best indicators for altcoin trading for both short term and long term trading?

How can you make good profits now when everything is in red.
There is nowhere to go and even Ethereum was down now for $100 dollars even though it is still at high value if you look at it per week.

It is like everyone is dumping all the coins and tokens and nowhere to be found. Even bitcoin is down and if they have sold it for BTC then we should be seeing it now.

Question is where the hell are all those money going?

I suggest you to try Investing.com. It got inbuilt technical indicators which will help you predict the market. You can study coin movement at different time intervals(5min to 1 month) which will help you to take right decision at the right time and can earn good profits.

the indicator to see the profit potential of altcoin you should look at the total supply and how the latest news from altcoin, if the altcoin has the latest news about the itinerary and total supply coin is also a bit then it will be a good potential.

Don't only depend on technical analysis and candlestick and do your own research on the latest news about the coins. News are better than analysis because people are just investing to those what is new.

There are many indicators and it comes down to more of a preference and style than anything. I like to trade announcements or planned releases. Say for example an ICO occurs with a lot of success and there's a big hype but there won't be a release for 6 months. In this time the price almost always slides in the first 3-4 months before beginning to slowly climb again before the release.

Preposters already gave interesting advices for choosing technical indicators, so I needn't repeat that once more. Additional I suggest you to devide your funds for day trading and longterm trades. Put 90% into longterm trade with deep research. Only put maximum of 10% into day trading with following advantages.
1. Little funds on day trading prevent you from panic sells and give you more freedom in trading.
2. You can make also with very little amounts big profits, when you get it managed to profit 2-7% a day, you can earn theoritcally with an initial investment of only 10$: 353,21$ - 1.945.718,39 $. So the advantage is clear. Independent from your skills you will only loose a little amount with the perspective to gain big profits.
3. You can try out all the recommended indicators and strategies.
4. The most important: There is no indicator, that will show you the future of price movements on day trading with an accuracy of much more than 50%. Researching news will not help you, because as soon as you read news about events, you are too late. Only illegal trading with insider knowledge braught securely big money (Search on google the keywords coinbase - insider - bch)

Longterm trades: When you invest into well established cryptocurrencies and ICOs with serious backgrounds (established companies/services) and hold them on longterm (don't put your whole money into cryptocurrencies), then you will probably gain big profits, because you have the advantage, that prices of cryptocurrencies don't follow prices of traditional markets. We are just at the beginning of a new technology, that has big headwind of governments and banks, who want to keep control over the financial sector, but it is not stoppable (like internet wasn't) and will for my opinion continue to grow, although there are  drops from time to time.

Even though if you are asking then I would like to add some best combinations of indicators which I personally use and many professional traders also used it to trade their big funds. Something like RSI for measuring the momentum of the market, BOLL BANDS used to measure the volatility of the script, Volume used to measure the participation and strength behind the candle patterns, Price Action tools like trend lines and trend channels used to measure the strength and direction of the trend, and ADX is used to measure the strength of the trend.

What kind of indicators are you searching for? If you want to use price analysis indicators I would go for RSI and volume indicators, and try to mix them. The crypto market is very volatile, so it's normal for it's price to become oversold and overbought. You should look for RSI oversold levels in the 5 and 15min time frames (since we are on a downtrend, you can also check for the 1h time frame). Once it's oversold, you can start scaling your way into the trade, and wait for the bounce to happen. You should also keep in mind volume indicators, because the bounces normally have a lot of volume associated.

Don't forget that news normally dominate the crypto world, so although tech analisys can give you good clues to know how to react to what it is happening, they will never beat news.

You can use any indicator you like, as long you know how to use it, nothing too worry about anything else. Good profit is not just because indicator but also trader/ investor make their plan become realistic. Most people will say MA, MACD and stockhastic osilator but you must know how to use it. Because good indicator in hand newbie ( like me for example ) is just like playing game. Just take one indicator and try it. Good luck with you.

The best indicator for altcoin trading according to me is when the market of bitcoin is stable and is going in upward direction.Look for me it is simple theory that works and that is if bitcoin goes high,Some alts will also gets pumped with it and when bitcoin goes down,it takes some alts with it.So the only work that i have to do is to identify some of the potential coins by some R&D and Invest on them.I have applied this and earned great profits.

I suggest you better invest in ico project, where the price offered is the base price. if the project is successful then the coin price will be many times can reach 10x or 20x from the base price. than you buy coins that already exist in the market. average increase only follows the groove. you better invest in new projects. but choose a clear project

I do it's a matter of luck, the biggest risk arbite is in the withdrawal process that takes a long time. The wall is lost then the price will be the same or even down quickly.
