I see some new coins that still choose algorithms that can be mined with asics. What is the benefit of that? People say asic-resistent coins are better but why are not all new coins like that?

maybe because there is so many asics avail with so many algos that it is difficult to choose the algo without asic
or it maybe another thing : it is more easily to copy paste or fork more common algo that is why there much more them in number.
or maybe some other reason  who knows which one Cool
