Primero de todo, escribo este post en Español por que es la manera en la que creo que me podré explicar con claridad. (English below)
Solo quiero pedir disculpas a quienes de verdad hayan creído en el proyecto, cometí el error de confiar en un equipo que no tenía las mismas inquietudes y ganas de sacar adelante una idea muy ambiciosa y acabé solo.
Tan ambiciosa que tuve problemas con mi empresa en ese momento (la cuál ya no estoy) que por motivos de confidencialidad no puedo explicar. Pero lo más importante es que conozcáis la verdad de la única que la conoce que es el fundador y ese soy yo.
Empezamos a salir a Internet con tan solo las ideas, sin código fuente útil, lo primero que me encontré fueron personas que se acercaron por interés, todas querían algo a cambio y todas solo minaban por si pegaban el pelotazo, nunca por apoyar realmente la idea, por que si la apoyas aportas con cosas útiles y no pidiendo dinero a cambio de dar publicidad a un proyecto que no tiene dinero o alguna otra cosa, decidme si es eso ético. Muchos habéis atentado contra mi persona por cerrar el proyecto, y entiendo que sin explicaciones es lo normal, el típico comportamiento de Internet, pero no lo comparto, antes de criticar y difamar hubieras intentado contactar conmigo por GitHub o Linkedin, y nadie jamás lo hizo.
En ningún momento el proyecto fue lucrativo, lo enfocamos como una fundación que ni pudimos llegar a crear por problemas legales y encima nos costó dinero, exactamente 800EUR en el 2018 para entrar en el único exchange y luego unos 200EUR al mes por mantener servidores para el explorador de transacciones y pool de minado oficial, al quedarme solo no era capaz de afrontar más pérdidas y entré en deudas.
No comunicamos bien el cierre del proyecto por que no se nos permitió, pero en el servidor oficial de Discord escribimos un breve comunicado. En cualquier caso jamás incitamos ni fomentamos la compra de la moneda Hotelcoin, y menos aún sacamos ningún beneficio vendiendo monedas por que el volumen y el valor eran tan bajos que es impensable que alguien pudiera sacar beneficio, ni los que os estafaron por que si, se que hay gente que en nuestro nombre os estafaron diciendo que iba a ser el próximo pelotazo, aquí se habla como si esto hubiera sido un proyecto famoso y exitoso, pero lejos de la realidad fue un proyecto de un grupo de conocidos que se precipitó en sacarlo al público y falló, fallar es algo que parece que en el blockchain no se puede dar, por que si se da ya es una estafa, y no es así, o acaso que pasa con TERRA-LUNA? que están siendo investigados, y ahí siguen intentando ser más ricos.
Puedo entender que haya gente que haya puesto expectativas, tiempo y dinero y lo haya perdido, pero no me creo que haya sido culpa del proyecto, ya que nosotros no hemos prometido haceros ricos a costa de no hacer nada útil por el mundo.
Por favor, esto no es un comunicado para justificar que cerramos de mala manera el proyecto, eso fue un error mío por miedo, pero repito para que entendáis que no pudimos seguir por que estaba perdiendo dinero y por que casi pierdo mi empleo.
Nosotros no hemos eliminado el código fuente por que el documento que hicimos puede servir de inspiración para alguien, esto no fue un fraude, una estafa es cuando alguien te convence y te engaña para sacar un beneficio, repito yo solo perdía dinero y tiempo y en ningún momento he escondido que yo fui el autor de Hotelbyte.
Ojalá todos aquellos que hayan hablado de demás encuentren en este escrito las explicaciones que necesitaban para entender que sucedió, y para los que hablan por que no pudieron hacerse ricos a costa de los demás, os doy un consejo, un día os despertaréis y estaréis solos y por muchos ceros que tengáis en la cuenta no os sacarán de la miseria emocional en la que tanto habéis trabajado utilizando a los demás como títeres, por que sigo siendo pobre al igual que muchos de vosotros pero no es culpa de los demás, es culpa de uno mismo.

I can understand that there are people who have put expectations, time and money and have wasted it, but I don't think it was the fault of the project, since we have not promised to make you rich at the expense of not doing anything useful for the world.
Please, this is not a statement to justify that we closed the project in a bad way, that was my mistake out of fear, but I repeat so that you understand that we could not continue because I was losing money and because I almost lost my job.
We have not eliminated the source code because the document we made can serve as inspiration for someone, this was not a fraud, a scam is when someone convinces you and deceives you to make a profit, I repeat I was only wasting money and time and in I have never hidden the fact that I was the author of Hotelbyte.
