Is it just my observation or the reality, there's in increase in ICOs and new token projects from China and the seem to like the number 88. That's the amount of free tokens they all are giving subscribers.

I'm beginning to suspect a scam or prank trend. Kindly share your opinion if you have contrary one.

There is surge in ICOs in any country. They grow exponentially. Seems new bottleneck will be for ICOs to find chockablock developers. They will have ideas and money but no people to realize it.

8 is Chinese lucky number.

Guys, can you point one successful project that started with an airdrop? I mean, started with an airdrop as a main marketing strategy.
Not ICOs that do small airdrops on top of or in combination with other marketing practices.
I can't think of any such.
And no, Tron doesn't count as a successful project.
