Because of the cost to make them, they are unlikely to be used for anything more than memorabilia.
The industry does seem to be expanding, though it is still very small.
Many people buy physical bitcoins. Take a look at ythe Collectable subforum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=217.0
As far as I know, Mike no longer makes physical bitcoins.
Typically, a physical bitcoin is a metal coin with a tamper-resistant sticker on the back. Under the sticker is the private key. The metal coins are made by a mint, and the rest is done by the company that sells them.

I don't believe they will be mainstream, but I think there will always be a market for them.  They are kinda cool!  But it will be more of a collector thing like comic books I think.  To me they don't seem as useful as having bitcoins in a software wallet of some type, and I imagine that it is less convenient to actually use them for any sort of transaction especially if the physical coin has collector's value that must be taken in to consideration.

Physical bitcoins are just made for memorabilia because bitcoins are cryptocurrency so it is not a physical coin that you can touch

Physical bitcoin will not expand. If this expand, I think they not made a bitcoin, they made a real money. But bitcoin itself will expand as time goes by

I think the people who buys Physical bitcoins are just wanting to have a display or a memorabilia about bitcoin

I guess he is still selling physical coins for just a memorabilia

It is made like making real coin. It uses brass and silver just like the real coins we have and we are using

You can not possibly understand the term virtual cryptocurrencies until now.
You may find that you have many or you know and believe that they are physical Crypto, it is possible and we can say that, but he has no value in the trend especially in legitimite transactions, it may only have the value because it's possible to do so.

It's just one reflica or like a memorabilla and only until it's used.

For there to be a physical bitcoin, it must be domiciled to a country. The country has to adopt it as their legal tender.

bitcoin has no physical bitcoin is a digital currency if bitcoin has a physical it is only a replica or a kind of decoration that is made personally but instead symbolizes the original bitcoin. so to be more clear I emphasize that bitcoin is digital currency has no physical.

I was wondering about buying one of these coins a few years before (the price of bitcoin was under $1,000 that time). Now it sees it would have been a good idea to buy, but now I don't want to buy, price has raised too much to pay 10x more for the same coin. Maybe it's possible to buy one from a collector of from someone who want to sell it, but it's hard to find one and if you find one you cannot be sure that that's not a scam, so it doesn't worth the effort for me yet to get a coin like that. This can change in the future of course, or someone else will start to produce similar coins again to be able to buy them directly.

It might not be the ones that you already have. There is a lot of coins that coin go mainstream if the price gets expensive, physical coins will not be worth more than Bitcoin itself.

I was thinking that physical coins except memorabilia may be something like a shiny coin containing an NFC patch or something, which would be tied to your wallet, and if bitcoin eventually takes off as a mode of daily payment, you can use this coin as a way of authenticating your transactions.

Of course, you can do this via your cell phone as well, so it would be a gimmick in any case, but perhaps some people may be interested in it.

damn I would like to stash few physical ones in my pockets.....but those front ones Grin Grin. No seriously digital functionality is shaky a bit. Whenever man goes to internet there are threats. Everybody can be hacked so physical ones would be easier to keep/save.
