Hello

there was so much good news for bitcoin in 2017. Alot positive news which took the price of the bitcoin to the moon at the end.

iam thinking , if even this news are coming back in 2018 it wont be anything new, so the price wont go again to the peak of maybe 20k$ ?

iam also a bit nervous at the present, as iam a long term holder since 2013 and i missed the train of the highest peak to sell. now the dilemma is at aprox 8-9k$ usd

i want your opinions about why the coin wont go up or will go up. ( which kind of things are in present that the price will go deeper and which kind of news will bee there that it will go back higher )?

It isn't rare for Bitcoin to take a big dive. It has done it and recovered several times in the past. I think the big difference this time around is that since the price per coin was so high this time around the downturn seems a lot bigger and makes people more fearful.

it seems so, now everyone sells their assets before it's too late,
BTC prices are getting more and more down, whether it will rise again or not or is it really the end of the digital currency?
but I do not think so, because this is a decentralized asset
I still believe BTC will continue to exist

Maybe, but for me bitcoin will regain its value and grow extensively around the world. Keep on believing and earning bitcoins, be optimistic.... This CURRENCY will not end instead it will grow much bigger and much brighter for us.

Exactly True. What people forget here is that bitcoin cant go in one upward directions. There are times of Dip and dump and these days we have few bad fuds and thats what making people to wonder. I advise people to be patient as this decrease in prices will not always remain as it is and very soon we will again see pump in prices.

Maybe? I think you’re being very pessimistic. Just because it went down continuously for the whole month if January, it doesn’t  mean for the entirely year. 2018 will be another banner year for bitcoins.

just because price has gone down it doesn't mean it is the end of the world! you claim to be in bitcoin since 2013, so it is very surprising to hear this from you. someone who has been around that long has seen all these manipulations and drops and panic sells.

and the only reason why it is at this price right now is because a bunch of market makers have been pushing it down. the drop below the major support ($10k) was not normal and when it was below it there was no longer anything preventing the drop.

If I observe the current decline in bitcoin prices such as the annual decline and that often happens when it comes to the Chinese new year, even though the bitcoin price is down but this is not too bad in my opinion at the current price, which is still expensive compared to when you bought it in 2013 , you already get a big profit what if you buy in 2013, and you do not need to worry for the current price, believe me.

I do not think that 2017 will be the last bitcoin era, the value of bitcoin has always been. Since the birth of bitcoin, there have been many fluctuations in prices and caused a lot of panic, but bitcoin still exists, so I think bitcoin only to those who believe it, optimistic about the greater return on his people.

it's gonna be fine. just relax. there is a lot of money waiting on the sidelines to join the crypto craze. they're waiting for the weak-hands to drop so they can buy it cheap.

The problem with us people is that we can never predict what can be and all we can do is guesstimate the things that will transpire days and weeks from now. Will Bitcoin be dead? I hope not but I don't have the power to stop the market from diving...am trying to maintain my optimism that eventually Bitcoin will win in the face of many bad news and many forces now working against it...heck even within the Bitcoin community a lot have already changed ship and are now criticizing Bitcoin. What will happen to bitcoin in 2018? That is the most important question that nobody can answer but if the gloomy atmosphere will continue then the negative sentiment prevailing in the market will definitely affect its movement. In the end, it is all about the market. And we are that market, actually.

Yes, I have to agree that bitcoin's slight plunge in it's present price value will not affect other bitcoin investors as this is just a temporary down trend in the market today nor the last era for bitcoin. People who invested bitcoin should not be panic this time instead they should be patient for there is a potential recovery of bitcoin in the coming months.
Instead hold your BTC, then observe the status on the market and decide later.

I disagree. We have seen worse dips in the past, that is true, and if it was just one dip I would agree with your post. But the market has been having those dips one after the other for quite some time now. You can't compare the situation now to the past as so many things are different now. There are several things that are going on for quite some time now (most of them are related to countries how try to manipulate the market or regulate it) that causes bitcoin to bleed hard. Also you have to consider that last year was crazy for bitcoin, especially the end of the year, and now the market corrects himself. I still think there is a good change BCT will reach ATH again by the end of the year, but I wouldn't say that with complete certainty like you do.

Did you even realized there are also lots of bad news about bitcoin last year? that time the price almost plummeted to $1000 due to china banning cryptocurrency exchange but still managed to recover and before the year 2017 ends it hits a new all time high $20000. there is also this bitcoin and bitcoin cash war but still bitcoin wins. this time it will happen again bitcoin will survive those FUD that other people are spreading. we have seen a lot of this. of course some will say no one can say the future of bitcoin but this is based on price history of bitcoin and technical analysis.

There isn't any doubt in saying that 2017 was the best year for bitcoin as the price skyrocketed so much and also it was all over the news and social media also. But now the price is falling and this is all completely normal as the price always corrects after a period of time, the price was too much higher than the value that bitcoin was providing to us, so when people came to realise the price started falling and now the price will start tracing back to the high in a short period of time.

No one can say about it that bitcoin last era is 2017. I think that it will all depend on how will people accept bitcoin. For now i think that there will be another chance that bitcoin will skyrocket again. Thats is what i think aboit it.

I think it was the last era for Bitcoin as a new and unfamiliar name for a lot of people. This year, most people who haven't started using Bitcoin will have at least been familiar with some aspects of it. But by no means was last year Bitcoin's last high, nor this year or for many years to come. While everyone is saying mainstream adoption has happened, I still believe that it is a couple of years away. Why? Mainly because I believe until a person has actually used Bitcoin to pay for something, from their own wallet, they haven't really adopted Bitcoin. So all these big bankers and so-called retail investors haven't really adopted Bitcoin, they've merely put money into something that they think is Bitcoin (yes, looking at all you account holders at exchanges).

Taking nothing away from the year that was... it was just packed with happenings. Forget the price. Bitcoin survived a lot of high drama and potentially disastrous events.

A lot of things happened on 2017 but its not yet the best of the best but its part of the history already.

as iam a long term holder since 2013
I wonder if you are a real long term holder since 2013 and why are you even asking as a very simple thing that can be answered by your experience from the years that you've been with bitcoin.

2009 Bitcoin woke up and failed.
2010 Bitcoin made a little come back, and again failed.
2011 Bitcoin died.
2012 Bitcoin died.
2013 Bitcoin died.
2014 Bitcoin died.
2015 Bitcoin died.
2016 Bitcoin died.
2017 Bitcoin died.
2018 Bitcoin died.
2019 Bitcoin died.
2020 Bitcoin died.
Jump in time....
2030 Bruhhh, it's at $250k now? Anyway, Bitcoin died.
2031 Bitcoin died.
How many more times do people want it to die?

The more people keep focusing on factors that don't matter, the more behind they will be, and the less opportunities you'll be able to utilize. On top of that, if you don't understand why Bitcoin has value in the first place, and don't see how much future potential there still is, you probably never will. While firm holders still hold their sub $1k coins, everyone after that keeps cashing out tiny profits and buys back at higher levels, which continued till where we stand right now. How much more proof do you guys need that Bitcoin's potential is far above current levels, and far above $100k as well. You hold the future, but yet you keep selling it to get what? Fiat? Nice joke. Wink
