Whatever the type of news that will appears, certainly it can't be ascertained with absolutely sure, whether it will causes the price will be higher or vice versa. Well this is related to the times that will answering it, the optimism and the patience is very tested, and about this I think is reasonable for the long term holders.
But besides that, I have a stronger belief that bitcoin still have a lot of chances to moving higher, whatever that causes.., that the developments of life will push to the bitcoin price being higher, also i think it will be a lot of interests and supports I guess.
I think if this year the price breaks the $20k price back, it will increasing further and continue to exceed abouve the $20k mark and will become a new history back on the price movements that reach the highest price.

What do you mean? 2017 is the end of the bitcoin era, I would not think that way because bitcoin will never stop growing until the future. many experts talk about bitcoin, they say bitcoin has a chance to touch at least $ 150k. maybe at the end of 2018 also we will again see bitcoin is at $ 20k.

yes this situation is very detrimental to most investors, especially the old investors. IMO is just a matter of our belief in digital currency, especially bitcoin.
I believe that in 2018 we can pump the price to reach the price at $ 22k even I believe and believe that 2018 will beat the prestige in the era of 2017 ago.

Looking back the price of bitcoin on December 2013 was at 1,000 USD it means you made a lot of profits for being a holder of bitcoin but you said you missed the train when the price reached at 20K USD. What happened dude? It's still not late to sell it at 11K USD at today's price. Don't be too greedy as the price of bitcoin is unpredictable. Be patient to wait as the price has many factors to consider before reaching a new all time high.

If you had been holding since 2013 then you shouldn't be shaking because of the recent dump price of bitcoin. During the year 2015 and so, there was a drastic dip that stayed for almost a year plus yet people still hold till now. If you really are a long time HODLer this recent price unstablitiy should be a normal phase for you. Maybe bitcoin will not see another pump of $20k plus in 2018, but next year might be better.

Yes it will not the last era of bitcoin, once you invest in bitcoin for long term you will believe that its not stop from their. 2017 was the great year for bitcoin cause that rise from 1k to 20k was awesome, but don`t forget about other great altcoins that skyrocketed too! 2017 was so good that I wonder will we see another similar year? I`m positive about it, optimistic! It will come, more great years will come, last year was just show off, maybe we can see even better year, that would be something.

What news was best? That Russian central bank is buying Bitcoin? That EU central bank is buying Bitcoin. That USA central bank is buying Bitcoin. That China central bank is buying Bitcoin?

Those will be the good news hard to beat. Till then just relax.

As what you can see right now, bitcoin still recovering and proves its potential to us. As of now we already have almost $11500 price of the bitcoin and it is continue to rise. As a matter of fact, not only bitcoin is unpredictable but also any other cryptocurrency. And we know that bitcoin is under fluctuated movements. Sometimes, it is up and sometimes it is down. However, I do believe it will regain power in a matter of time.

Spot on. I remember having read older threads where after MtGox's collapse, people were making fun of those who bought their coins above the $1000 mark at that point. It did drop significantly afterwards though.

However, those who kept holding through till last year, would still have made possibly the best investment of their life. It's just a matter of patience after all ~ the more patience you have, the higher the reward will be.

This market can look horribly bad in the very short term, but the long term always makes up for that what we went through in the time before that. If people till now still don't understand this market, they probably never will.

Just curious, how much you bought your coins at that time? I bet not even in $1k, so you can still earn if you sell at the current value of $11k if what you're saying is true that you are a btc hodler since 2013.

Nevertheless if you want to have a huge gain then continue to hodl because the price of btc is driven by the market demand. If there's less supply then the price will increase again.
